I don't know what it is, but i just can't get over 20k dps.. I look at worldoflogs and i just see almost every affliction lock doing over 50k dps.
I've read all of icy-veins dps guide, and i think i'm reforged correctly. I just don't know what's wrong.

I'm not so up-to-date with Warlocks, but I'm fairly certain you need to hit the 15% spell hitcap first of anything, then you focus on the secondary stats =)
Outside that, I can't really help you much seeing as I play a Rogue, sorry mate :(

Spell cap is not a necessity for affliction. :)

Haven't really played my lock since MoP, but could someone explain why using Soulburn on Soulswap is considered good practice? Are shards generated fast enough via nightfall that the GCD and a half you save is worth one less haunt?

Another thing to think about with MoP as a caster: Expertise now counts as hit for casters, so you can just hit 7.5% of both Hit and Expertise (or any other %, just get it 15% when put together)
This makes it alot easier than having to stack 5100 Hit rating which is atm hard as @#$% with most classes since you gotta waste gem slots on Hit gems.
(Total for both is 2550 to get 7.5%)

Just to min-max, I usually cast Haunt and then apply SB+SS during Haunt's travel time, resulting in an instant application of all four effects at once. :D
Edit: Also, Fingulfin, consider this;
Applying SB+SS on four targets with your four Soul Shards equals roughly 400% DoT uptime in a short period of time. As Gani said, a lot of the DoTs will either drop off or not gain full effect from Haunt if the DoTs were applied manually.
Another way to think of it is;
Let's say 3 DoTs = 100% DoT damage.
3 DoTs + 1 Haunt = 125% DoT damage.
2 Dotted + Haunted targets = 250% DoT damage.
4 Dotted targets = 400% DoT damage,
taken in consideration you use SB+SS to initially apply your DoTs!
