Account-wide mounts dilemma / questions

I thought I'd post here since I don't currently have an active sub, but am considering resub for Mists.
I read about the account-wide mounts and got pretty excited about it, but I was wondering if this would be possible:
I have 2 accounts. On the first account I have 2 chars with the same rare mount. What I want to do, if it works the way I think, is to move one of these to the other account, so that all my chars can have this mount.
Is this possible? Will all my current and future chars have access to this mount then?
The mount is a drop, it is not a class or pvp mount.
Many thanks in advance!

I think that as long as you have both accounts under the same name, you can move a toon from one to the other. However, I'm not sure if that is necessary if they are both under the same battle.net account. The heirlooms are all shared between all toons on the same battle.net account- it may be the mounts are too.

Mounts are shared across the Battlenet license.

This.
If you resub on one account you can then login to your battle.net account page for WoW and see if you're able to make use of a "x free days" offer on the other account. Then you simply log all chars on the second account and all their pets, mounts and achivements will be added to your battle.net account which will share towards your first account.
That's what I did as I had a second account I only played on in WotLK briefly (I rerolled over factions on the same server and my original account had full char slots) to which I applied a CE key. Apart from random achievements I was able to use a free days offer after the content patch to activate the second account and log in to share the WotLK CE pet across my battle.net account which means I now have it on my original, main account (that at the time only had a regular WotLK key applied to it).
