Wowhead wasn't loading properly for me. Images were distorted, all the body text on any given page was gone in both Chrome and Firefox. (

). It wouldn't load at all in IE. Wowhead was the only site I tried that had this problem. I did a bit of troubleshooting and discovered that Windows Firewall was the culprit! Once I disabled it and force-reloaded, Wowhead looked fine! I turned the firewall back on, and the problem reappeared.
I'm completely stumped as to why this is happening. I'd like to have my firewall on, but I'd also like to browse Wowhead!
I'm running Win 7 Home Premium (64-bit), Intel i3 2330-m
Thanks!

It looks like the firewall must be blocking our JavaScript. You could try adding Wowhead and its IPs to approved (safe) sites. :)

I've been having a similar problem using Firefox (my default browser); although I can get to Wowhead using Chrome or IE. I'm using Vista with Norton AV, and I can't find anything in the NAV firewall settings which would make a difference.
And in Firefox I get, in the tab header, cryptic messages; along the lines of "you haven't got there yet". This is really irritating! Is there something I'm supposed to have done?

Now fixed. A Ctrl-F5 reload (not shift-F5) works thanks to a post in the previous thread.
But why the cryptic little messages, Wowhead? Cows? WTF!

Thats page title texts - they've been a part of wowhead for as long as I can remember, and are simply there as jokes or spoofs.
