Lorewise, could shamans in WoW have been turned into second generation (Created by the Lich King) death knights too? The reasoning is that they are melee classes too, and from mail to plate the difference shouldn't be that great.
Anyone has any ideas about it?

Um...no; second generation Death Knights were Knights and Paladins corrupted by the Scourge and Arthas and forged almost universally from Humans and High Elves with a very few Dwarves added in; by the time the Arthas and his forces ran into the Orcs, they were under the command of the Legion and were more or less disposable forces at that point, since the Legion didn't want power over quantity while they were marching on the World Tree.
Edit: Now, the Third Generation(AKA the Players) came from all races and classes, as they were people killed in the Plaguelands during the BC era.

Ok, ty, thought there were only two gens of dks: just was considering RPing a shaman that becomes death knight after being killed in EPL, so he counts as 3rd gen then, right?
