1-525 Kits

I have a quick question for the Wowhead community about 1-525 'Kits'.
The basic idea behind it is for someone to gather up all of the crafting materials needed to work a skill from 1 to 525 and sell it all as one giant bundle for a good chunk of change.
With Mists coming up pretty quickly my guild and I have found that we are still loaded down with heaps of older crafting mats and plan to sell them in these 'kits' and just toss the money back into the guild bank.
I understand that each server's economy is a little different (some much more than others), but I just wanted to ask you guys this....
On -your- server, how much do these kits go for? On my server the Blacksmithing ones sell for around 15k a piece. We're hoping to sell a couple enchanting kits and are looking at maybe selling them for around the same price.

I've spoke with a couple people who have told me they've successfully sold them within the past month or so. According to them they sell alright, might take a couple days to a week to really sell but they do sell eventually. As for gold, I do understand that only people who keep 20k+ on them at all times would even consider this purchase and therefore the number of people willing to buy this would be lower. And as for bank space, yeah they would most likely need their own guild bank to dump it all in. (Though I knew many people who do.)
Either way, thank you for the reply. :)

I have tried asking in my realm yesterday, so far the response was "Ooh that'd be expensive". Considering I am on a small server with an even smaller Horde player base, I may struggle to get a buyer. I'll keep trying for the next few days to see what happens.
As for bank space? I use mailboxes as a temp bank when I'm powerleveling professions - helps keep it neat too :D

Selling powerlelving kits is quite profitable but I'd like to mention a few things:
If it is to only dump old mats from your guild bank I'd say is not worth it. For the profession kit to be sucessfull you would need to follow a powerlvling guide and have spare mats of every item on the guide. You simply cannot afford to run short on 10 stacks of Mithril Bars/Ore (since you mentioned BS in the OP) or you'll bust the deal, which might lead, in case you get a very annoying costumer, to a bad name to you/your guild, slanders on trade chat and that sort of things.
You could always do like I did. We had similar problem on our guild so I suggested my GM to allow me to handle it. I created a level1 alt, told him to add me on friends list in case he wanted to monitor activity and sold the mats when they were profitable.
However, If ever think in doing it for your own profit, I'd suggest you the obvious: Buy mats at cheap price and sell them at normal price. Your profit will be a lot higher. Plan very carefully and research powerlvling methods. Advertise that you will even instruct what to craft to make it cheaper. I'd higly suggest you not to farm them unless you are after a very specific item that for no love or money you can find on the AH. Remember that time expent is also an investment.
And as for bank space, yeah they would most likely need their own guild bank to dump it all in. (Though I knew many people who do.)
If you ever plan to do this for your own pocket, bag space wouldn't be a problem. You can always make your own guild bank, invite the costumer to the guild and only give him access to the tabs you want him to withdraw mats from.
I think I probably derailed my own and answer, just wanted to add my own view on the matter of lvling kits.

I doubt the venture is very profitable on lower population realms, but I'm cleaning up on a couple high population realms using a spreadsheet I developed and a couple add-ons. I've sold 20 profession kits and made 77k in profit. Sure, if you figure in the amount of time I've invested in my spreadsheet development, materials gathering (99% purchasing them from the AH), and getting to a total of 18 guild bank tabs across 3 bank alts, then my profit is a bit lower. BUT I feel like I'm finally set up to start knocking out several kits per day, and let me tell you this: THE DEMAND IS THERE.
I'm not going to give away my spreadsheets or tell anyone all about my methods, but with a little logic, effort, and a significant amount of seed money, it's definitely possible to start a successful kit business. In short, I've pretty much quit crafting and farming for gold; kits are where it's at, especially if you can streamline your business.

Right now, even on my Medium-High pop realm, there just isn't enough mats avaliable to logisiticly do this. I just finished up leveling a BS, and at every "hard point", I always ran out of AH options, and found myself farming mats.
Lower level kits would not be so bad, as the mats are easier to gather, usually in better supply on the AH, and the amounts are lower.
But with Fel-Iron getting nerfed, and you need so dang much of it, anything after that point would be pretty tough. (On my server, it was rare to find ANY Fel-Iron bars or ore, and when you did, the prices were crazy high...200g a stack for ore was not uncommon.
Cobalt was the next stumbling block, but not as bad as Fel-Iron. I was so happy to finally make it to Obsidium and be able to blow out those last levels.
