I was recently in a LFD group. The tank was fairly new. I know that I have patience, but I am well aware that is a rare quality.
This group surprised me. Everyone was patient. Helped him out before each pull, stating which mobs should be CCd and which have moves that hurt.
It meant we had conversations about the game and a great time. It took a good 15 minutes longer than a run with experienced would have, but the great mode that resonated made it worth it.
Pay it forward should be the motto of this thread. Do a good deed and hope people pass it on.

well i actually won 2 sets of beta keys in the wowhead contests.
that i won one totally suprised me, since i never win a thing. and that i got a second totally flabbergasted me. i gave it too a guildie of mine who didnt have the annual pass and wasnt as lucky as me in the wowhead contest for keys. he's very happy about it :D
I did the same. I gave away my key to someone to missed the annual pass. He's definitely putting more use to that key than I would have!
One thing I like doing is going into regular heroics (not the HoT ones) or regular dungeons and helping those trying to gear up through the dungeon. It's really sad how many new players can't get through a dungeon because people just want to steamroll when they don't have the gear to do so.

I won't tell any about myself, but last week I was in LFR (I took a 6 month break and am still catching up on gear) and the chest token I needed dropped. I lost the roll, and just proceeded on with the rest of the raid. Then the hunter who won it opened a trade window to give it to me, without me saying anything, because I "Needed it more than he did." I thanked him, and he just told me to pay it forward. Thanks mystery hunter!

The bear dancer just hounded me. He began opening trade trying to get more and more. Sadly, (in hindsight) he did get an extra 800 or 1k. It didn't end there. I began receiving junk COD items for 1k and requests for an extra 2k for 310% flight. It really killed the experience.
You put people like that on ignore heh.

I remember one day I was running through The Stockades for some wool cloth for my tailor, when a low level toon who was at the entrance asked if I could help him.Whilst we was running through I found out that this was his first ever toon,so when we finished I opened up a trade window and gave him 100g.He was so happy it made me smile all day. It's amazing how much joy you can bring to someone with such simple gestures.

So, several years ago, i was hanging out in ThunderBluff taking care of a few things when I get a tell from a low level toon. He said he was new to the game and couldn't figure out how to get from TB to Org (this was before there was a Zep between the 2) and asked for directions. His level was mid to upper teens so I told him I would lead him there. I proceeded to run to Org with him following me, killing anything that tried to attack him in the higher level area of the Barrens.
When we got there I checked out hs gear and saw he was poorly geared for his class/spec/lvl so I told him to wait at the entrance and went to my guild bank and pulled out a couple items better suited to him. I gave those to him and advised him that as he is leveling to try and go for those stats unless he changes spec. I also gave him 200 gold and a mini pet. He thanked me profusely and told me he had been having a tough time in the game, he had been asking for directions from TB to Org in trade and either getting nothing or getting trolled so he was happy he sent a tell to a nice person. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

I do a ton of things to help my in game karma. Running random Outland dungeons I had a Druid healer who wanted desperatly for some new pants. I was on my hunter and a pair of shaman pants dropped and I asked if I could have them for transmog and she handed them over- I didn't realize until later that they really were shaman only. But we ran another random after that and shengot her drop.
Intend to always help out fellow Druids with my Druid- a guildie asked once in chat if she could have some gold for flying since she had just learned flight form, I asked how much and it was ridiculously cheap. I gave her all she needed and she was grateful- I said that I waste more gold in a day than her flight training costs. Others in guild started to ask inchatnif they could have gold and I said they needed to have a good use for it and of course it helpsmif they are Druids.
