Addons Section on Wowhead?

So it's occurred to me that there isn't really any kind of direct support for Addons or, more importantly to me, Addon development here on Wowhead. There's the UI & Macro forum and that's about it (unless I've managed to miss something).
I realise that WoWInterface is part of ZAM, so that may answer my question before I ask it, but: Is there any reason why we couldn't have some Addon-specific sections for Wowhead? It's probably quite a bit much to actually house Addons, especially with WoWInterface and Curse out there, but I think at least a couple forum categories (one each for users & developers most likely) and perhaps a place for the WoW API details.
The Wowwiki site(s) keeps reasonably up to date on that, but .. c'mon, this is Wowhead! Everything important and up-to-date should be
here
, yeah? So details and reference for the API changes would be a welcome addition, to my mind.
(I didn't see any previous posts on this topic, but neither did I scour the forums at length.)

In terms of having a forum for addon users, I know I've seen several addon-related threads in the WoW Help forum. Addon writers could end up in UI & Macro, as you suggest.
I wouldn't think a forum for users and another forum for writers would be efficient (or necessary), but one forum for all addon-related topics could be nice.

Unfortunately you've hit the nail on the head--WoWInterface is a sister site and they're very awesome. We love what they do. So we wouldn't want to take their thunder.
But I'm always up for ideas on how Wowhead can be more useful, so if you have any ideas for how we could showcase addons besides forums I'd be willing to listen :)

Yes, I figured as much. My only other real idea was the XML/API Programming reference .. but without a dedicated forum or somesuch, it probably wouldn't be as useful here as perhaps at WoWInterface.
I've only been Wow programming a short while, but my concern is that I use several websites concurrently to figure out how to work through coding issues. I'll have a dozen pages from Wowwiki and from Wowprogramming up, cross-referencing this and that, googling to find examples, etc etc.
And with the semi-regular API changes that accompany many Blizz patches, I think if there was a nicely comprehensive index
here
, edited with latest patch notes, along with comments for examples and code snippets .. something along those lines would be very nice indeed.
And I would like it here instead of Wowwiki 'cause ... this is Wowhead, duh!
Edit:
I never described what an API reference would actually
be
did I? I'm assuming everybody knows that stuff. It would wind up being a somewhat extensive collection of all the possible programming commands / codes used exclusively for WoW Addon (and macro) programming, such as
GameToolTip:AddLine()
and so forth.

Don't know if that was already there before the recent changes, only noticed it afterwards, but while you're on the
News page
, the sidebar has a "Hot Addons" section, with links to WoWInterface. There's not much more I could think of how addons could be integrated into Wowhead ;)
For specific stuff, you will often find addons mentioned in the comments of items/achievements, e.g. currently the addon "Juggler" for
Torch Juggler
has its yearly heyday ;)
