Keybinds for Protection

Hey all, I've recently gotten into a protection spec warrior and got her to 80 via scroll of resurrection. I've seen over 30 abilities that my spec can use, 21 of which seem like must-haves for my action bars. I've categorized them by use (core attacks, multiple mobs, defensive, etc--as you can see below) and am confused, or rather overwhelmed, by how I should set up my action bars and which abilities should be closer to reach and which are fine further away from my fingertips.
Also my hands aren't large enough to use Shift and Ctrl as modifiers so I mostly stick to Alt (which is easily reached with my left thumb). I usually keep my pointer finger on 3, my middle on 2, etc etc. 7 through = are fairly out of the way, so I was thinking of keeping long cooldowns on those buttons. I also have a razor naga mouse giving me 24 extra keys (using Alt as a modifier) for my right thumb. I also use E as an opener on my toons (in this case Charge/Intercept) and Q as a spell interrupt (Pummel is there for now, but with 3 other interrupts for prot spec I'm considering putting something else there but not sure).
Also some macros consolidating multiple abilities would be much helpful. I've seen people mention Charge/Intercept as one keybind, as well as combining Berserker Rage into Charge, and Shield Block into Shield Slam. I'm not exactly sure how to set these up properly or if they are even that great to use or if some abilities should be kept separate for efficiency.
TL;DR - As a prot warrior, how have you set up your keybinds efficiently? Mostly for PvE 5-man dungeons (no raiding or pvp until I've gotten a real grasp on the playstyle). Thanks in advance!

As on the keybinding part, I can tell you what I use but it's best to grow into it. Start small and build it up overtime.
So the buttons I use are:
1,2,3,4,5,6 (I mainly use these for stuns, trickets, berserker rage etc) the one I use the most will be on 1, and the one I use the least I put on 6.
I also combined these with Alt and Shift.
I use these for main attacks;
QWERFDSZXCV, now some of these might seen a bit awkward (The W for example) but I only have alt or shift keybinds on them. and all are combined with alt or shift or just the normal button ;).
and my mouse, I own a RAT 5 which gives some more buttons. Shift/alt mousewheel click, the 2 side buttons + alt / shift etc.
Quite a lot of my friends think my way of keybinding is a bit messed up bit I just grew into that. All my characters got somehow the same way of keybinding (R for dots, F for slows or getting closer to your target etc).
Just play around, start with 5-ish keybinds once that feels normal make a bit more. after a while you'll find your own pattern.
I also use F1 to 4 (without shift alt mods alt f4 is bad, mhmkay) but they are mainly for mounts or getting some one time use macro in Arena (focus target).
I hope this can help you somehow a bit further, if you got a question feel free to ask. ;D

1: Shield Block/Shield Slam macro
2: Revenge/Cleave or Revenge/HS macro (I have them one above the other so I can switch them easily.
3: Devestate
4: Rend
5: Taunt
Shift 1: Charge/Rend castsequence macro with a Intervene
Shift 2: Intercept
Shift T: Throw
Shift W: Shout (battle and commanding next to each other on the bar so I can swap which one I use into Shift-W)
Shift D: Demo Shout
Shift E: Heroic Leap
Shift H: Health Pot / Healthstone
Shift C: Concussion Blow
H: Last Stand (I know it's out of the way, but I've been using it so long that I'm used to it.
T: Vigilance
F: Berserk Rage / Inner Rage macro
MouseWheel Up: Bash interrupt
MouseWheel Down: Thunder Clap
Shift MW Up: Victory Rush / Cleave macro (So mostly used for cleave, but tacked on VR for easy access)
Shift MW Down: Shockwave
I click Shield Wall, Rally Cry, Enraged Regen, Retaliation, and Recklessness.
With the mouse settings like that, my normal pack pull would look like:
Shift 1: Charge
Shift 1: Rend
MW Down: Thunderclap
Shift MW Up: Cleave during GCD
Shift MW Down: Shockwave
Shift 1, Shift 1, MW Down, Shift MW Up, Shift MW Down. It's a pretty fast sequence.

Probably not needed as a prot warrior but if you decide to run Arms as offspec this might be handy
#showtooltip charge
/charge
/hamstring
(charge if target is to far away, hamstring the target if it's close enough)
I also got my intervene combined with this but I need to login to get the propper macro for this. (I hope to update this later today).

@Porcell; can you possibly link your "Charge/Rend castsequence macro with a Intervene"?
I have Rend macroed to my charge already but am not sure how to add the intervene to it.
Thanks

With every single character I have, I try to put skills into groups of main attacks, opening attacks, interrupts, and situational cooldowns. I don't ever want to have to reach some button in the middle of the keuboard, so everything I use is on the left side.
This is my tank
I've divided those action bars into groups:
STRIKES
:
`
: revenge
1
: shield slam
2
: devastate
3
: (inner rage & cleave) macro
4
: heroic throw
SITUATIONAL 1
:
alt + `
: (charge | intercept & berserker rage) | intervene macro
alt + 1
: rend
alt + 2
: (inner rage & heroic strike) macro
alt + 3
: shockwave
alt + 4
: disarm
SITUATIONAL 2
:
alt + q
: victory rush
alt + w
: thunderclap => demoralizing shout macro
alt + e
: shield block
alt + r
: enraged regeneration
SURVIVAL COOLDOWNS + LEAP
:
alt + a
: shield wall
alt + s
: spell reflect
alt + d
: last stand
alt + f
: heroic leap
SURVIVAL COOLDOWNS + INTERRUPT
:
alt + z
: will of the forsaken
alt + x
: pummel
alt + c
: concussion blow
alt + v
: counterstrike
SHOUTS 1
(
I swap battle and commanding shouts depending on group composition
):
mouse 3
: taunt
mouse 4
: battle shout
mouse 5
: commanding shout
SHOUTS 2
:
shift + a
: challenging shout
shift + s
: berserker rage
shift + d
: (glyphed) intimidating shout
shift + e
: rallying shout

On live here's what I currently use, it's changing very slightly for MoP:
S+X = Shift+X
1: Shield Slam
2: heroic Strike
3: Revenge
4: Thunderclap
5: Charge/Intercept macro
`: Rend (changing to Pummel in MoP)
S: Shield Block
S+S: Spell Reflect (changing to Shield Barrier in MoP)
G: Pummel
S+G: Disarm
V: Shield Wall
S+V: Last Stand
R: Taunt (Execute when in Battle/Berserker stance)
S+R: Rallying Cry
T: Victory Rush
Shift+T: Orc Racial
F: Devastate
S+F: Shockwave
D: Commanding Shout
S+D: Battle Shout
C: Cleave
S+C: Challenging Shout
S+4: Demo Shout
S+3: Concussion Blow
Z: Berserker Rage
X: Inner Rage
A: Heroic Throw
S+A: Shattering Throw macro (switch to Battle, cast Shattering Throw, switch back to Def)
I use a Razer Naga so I have 1 and 3 bound to trinkets, 2 bound to Retaliation, and 4 bound to Heroic Leap. Using Clique I have Intervene (w/Safeguard) bound to right-clicking on a raid frame. I use Q and E for strafing.
For MoP it's changing a bit: I'm going to use A/D for strafing and keep S open for the rare times when I might need to backpedal. Rend is gone to Pummel moves to `, the Shouts move to G, Heroic/Shattering Throw moves to Q, Shield Block/Barrier are macroed together on E. Concussion Blow is no more, so S3 will probably be for one of the new banners (Demo Banner, probably). I forget the others xD
