Subtlety PvE and Ultraxion?

As I'm levelling my Rogue up ATM, I'd like to know: how does a Subtlety Rogue deal with Ultraxion not being backstabbable? I'm intending to have my secondary spec be my PvP spec, so changing specs for one fight is not an option.

Then change it 4ever

As said many time before, for rogues Sub for PvP and Combat for PvE at the moment.
Combat for pve is a must, that's if you want to perform to a good standard and do decent dps.
If you don't want to change and stick with Sub for PvE then your not going to do as well as you would in combat.
But it's your choice and how you want to play.

Surprisingly better than you'd think.
WoL
. It appears he just uses Hemo all the time. If cheap shot still adds como points and Expose Weakness to a boss, then he probably used a spec like
9/0/32
(not sure though).

But if you gonna use gimmick subt spec like this for one fight, isnt it easier to make a combat pve spec instead - working for all fights?

It's all about PvEing with sub

Personally, I wouldn't recommend it, but I was just answering the OP's question.

It seems to work just fine for me on lfr and reg 10 just using hemo.

I am running a single SUB PVE spec for DS and a SUB PVP spec as offspec, so I had to go with the hemo-spam spec.
Since combat is dumb spamming of one button, and assass, although being slightly better IMO when it comes to dagger stacks stacking speed, is still short in terms of target switching, I went with an all-round sub spec for raiding, and it didn't turn out bad on Ultra.

<--- mainspec is PVE
My spec is bit tweaked to respond to raid demands, and isn't the generally accepted hemorrhage spec.
You might want to take notice that this spec is heavily reliant on finishers, and it seems to give bad results with anything below legendaries, due to the importance of the wings proc.
If your dps isn't needed that much, you can always go with the "stock" backstab SUB PVE spec and just spam hemorrhage, but I dont think the results will be any good.

Obviously not a rogue, and obviously doesn't pve.
Sub is the best rogue spec hands down.
The only time sub loses, is to a melee heavy boat(cleave drakes), a black blood heavy yor'shaj, and ultrax. While you won't lead those, you will smoke combat in every other fight, especially spine and morch. Ultrax is not a hard fight, maybe the easiest, its ok for you to do a little lower dps.
You do not need a gimmick sub spec to do hemo spam/cheapshot. No spec change is needed to make cheapshot proc expose weakness, nor is it to learn hemo, as it should already be learned and glyphed. It does ok damage. You won't top charts like you do with combat on ultrax, but does it really matter? Sub is better overall, and when you lead every other fight, no one is going to care.

Sub 2nd overall
Combat 4th overall
Sure ultrac sucks for sub, but lol at a combat rogue helping progress heroic spine or those plates. Lol.

Yes I am a Rogue and yes I pve and pvp. and I'm good at both. I go combat for PvE and Sub for PvP. I've ran sub for pve and it isn't as good as combat for it. Sub for pvp wins over combat hands down.
I guess you don't play a rogue ...........

Ok then fair point. But looking at the 'web site' which gives all the data you'll ever need it seems .... Combat win on Madness, Spine, Ultrax, Yor, and on Zon it's pretty close run thing with Sub edging it. Sub only good at Hagara and Morchock.
Most of the time it's Combat for PvE.
If you use the Spec score summery, Combat come out on top by a long way also.
That better reasoning and data for you? :)
