I have mixed feelings about that. He is gonna be a awesome boss to fight, but he also was a much cooler warchief than boring Thrall. He is one of my fav. characters in wow, and i think its just gonna be epic.
Btw, i foresaw this waaaaay back.

I'm rather a big fan of this. I'm not HUGE in the lore, but I know the basics of what is supposed to be going on. Horde has really been mismanaged with Garrosh and making him a bad-guy is a great idea. My big wonder though is if they are going to make Garrosh be the FIRST raid boss and then have more come out, or if he will be they one they lead up to.

Garrosh should hang Vol´Jin from the gallows imo. And open up a can of whoppin on Thrall like he was about to do before Arthas minions intervened. Then ressurect Cairne and beat him a second time, and Baine while he is at it. Sylvanas is kinda cool, and Garrosh is uber-cool, but the other Horde faction leaders and the entire alliance deserves to feel the wrath of Garrosh for their traitorous scheming.
I for one will shed a tear when Garrosh eventually beats the dust, its a great plotline and all, and im sure it will be a awesome raid, but ill miss that war-mongering bufoon anyway:)

I will give them the benefit of the doubt, but after the Lich King and Deathwing.. will they really be able to build him up high enough to be that big of a bad guy?
And then there is the whole ármy´ thing. The Burning Legion.. LK had a huge army of undead.. Deathwing was epic in size and power and had the elements (Rags etc).. Garrosh is just a normal guy really.. his ármy´will be less than half of the orcs and some random people.
We are going from Deathwing to a guy who a few years ago was crying about his fate in Nagrand. Really, it does seem more like Seige of Undercity 2 than an equivalent of Deathwing or LK.

The question is do they really need to? They didn't build up to Kel'thuzad, after all (and to be fair, Illidan for the cover villain was sort of a "you have to had played WC3 to really understand" sort of deal, considering he came out within 2 major content patches, iirc).
Besides, I thought it was made clear that there was no "big bad."
Garrosh just happens to be the final boss of the expansion.
Hence, he doesn't need to be considered the big bad.

I really think it will take something along the lines of Garrosh wanting to go back to demon blood drinking to get most of the Horde to turn against him(along with the entire Alliance).I hope that's not why it happens...since we've seen how Garrosh feels about Fel corruption.

Maybe N'zoth will make him do it...
Nah!
(No seriously, I still think the warmongering is what's going to make him become hated)

I didn't really feel like we took on Deathwing in alot of ways either due to how much help we receive from the dragon aspects along with Thrall during the encounter.
Do you think you've had even a small chance to "take on Deathwing" all by yourself and survive a split second?

Did it say that he would be dieing? I thought there was something that vaguely alluded to the possibility that we may not be killing him, just removing him as leader. Personally, even as a Horde only player, I am still quite excited about this. This was the thing that stuck out at me most, next to the Temple of the Jade Serpent. I loved Grom, but Garrosh just feels like Bush Jr to me. My hope is that he's exiled from the Horde, and taught some serious lessons. I'm quite curious as to what these horrible things he's been doing underneath Orgrimmar will be. He got so angry with Sylvanas with what she did.

The thing is though is that there is supposed to be warmongering on both sides almost from the get go so I don't see how Garrosh just taking it one step further in a feud that has been going on for many years would suddenly turn his own Horde against him. Especially when Bliz says stuff like 'this is world of warcraft, not peacecraft.'
Well as I mentioned somewhere else, while it may start out that way, maybe over time just staying in Pandaria will mellow out the feelings of people involved and then while they're enjoying their exotic foods and so on Garrosh continues to push a war no one wants any longer. People recognize him as a threat and try to put him down or at least knock some sense into him before he ruins the peace won without violence.
