Can't say I agree with it =/
I liked DA2
That verifies that the pic shopped is 100% accurate.

Out of curiosity, is the co-op thing per playthrough or per bioware account? Because my BF and I are sharing a copy, and he loves all that multi-player stuff, and I could care less about it other than for the affect on the main game.
Post by
Rankkor
no idea.
Could be per bioware account. If that's the case, I wonder how that will work out when you are replaying the game.
Say for example, you start the game for the first time, you do some main quests, but then start playing co-op for weeks. When you jump back to the single-player your galactic readiness should be fully maxed.
so you continue playing, finish the game, start again, hop on multiplayer and........... which save will get readiness? the old or the new one?

/le-sighs.
so? the issue is with the geometry used to create faces in ME1 glitching out, its not that you can't transfer a character into ME3, stop trying to spread false rumors, you've already sinked low enough.
You can't import an unchanged
F.A.C.E
from ME1 into ME3.
If you character was created in ME2, all is fine, IF you imported from ME1 into ME2 and chose to have a new face, then all is fine, IF you created a character in ME1, imported it unchanged into ME2, and then import that into ME3 all that will happen is that you have to recreate the face. Big freaking deal. I was able to fully recreate the
face
of my shepard in the ME3 demo without any problems. (And may I add not only it looks identical to the original, in some aspects it looks better, since the textures used in 3 as well as the hair in 3 looks WAY BETTER than anything in the ME1 character creator)
Considering how most of the hair and face options from the first game were BLOODY SUCKY in the first place, AND on ME2 we were unable to change said face without having to start from scratch, most (if not all) players would be tweaking the faces of their custom shepards in the first place, REGARDLESS OF THE BUG so I don't see what the frikking problem is.
Stop trying to QQ so much about this game. You've already lowered yourself to rock bottom, stop trying to dig a sub-basement and keep digging into the molten core of the earth.

Eh, it's Neffy. He's never satisfied with anything or too jaded to see the good in games. It's not the worst he's done but I can bet in a couple of days we'll see a regurgitated post from /v/ on how ME3 is the worst game in the world and how we should kill ourselves for even thinking of discussing it.

So he's kinda like the grinch? =( that's so sad
anyhow, moving onto other topics:
This face issue is kinda a downer but people on the BSN are really REALLY blowing this thing out of proportions. I mean, really, is it THAT hard to re-create your face? I recreated mine in a hitch, didn't even took me 5 minutes. I'd show some ME2 screenies to compare, but....... my old hard-drive fried, so I lost them. I uploaded a screenie a few posts above of my ME3 shepard from the demo, but can't show anything to compare her to.
however, as a lot of people on the BSN have confirmed, it IS possible to recreate your shepard. Just check:
http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/168047_1607064168768_1001091334_31543888_5517875_n.jpg

or this other example:
ME1

ME2
http://jamiecotc.com/ME/femshep/Jaime/Jaime2.jpg
ME3
http://jamiecotc.com/ME/femshep/Jaime/Jaime_ME3.jpg
As you can see, not a big deal.
This gets fugly when we get to removed hairstyles. Some of them dind't made it to ME3, if your shepard had one of those now-removed styles, you will have to change them in the character creator. Not a problem for me (Since the hairstyle of mine is still there) but I can see how this could be a problem for some people.
Still don't get why people are blowing this thing out of proportions. When it was released, Skyrim had more bugs than a 10$ prostitute, You even had to do a workaroud with some tools to COMPLETE THE FRIKKING MAIN CAMPAIGN. And that didn't prevented the game for being ABSURDLY FUN. To this day, nearly all the bugs have been fixed either by official patches, or fan-made patches.
Regardless of its MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY bugs, the point is that the game is FUN. Quite posibly the BEST game of 2011 without a doubt.
Now we got ME3, which as far as we know has 1 very VERY small bug that we can work around without much problem, and yet some people are all like "BIOWARE SUCKS, I'M CANCELING PRE-ORDER"
"BIOWARE SUCKS, I'M NEVER BUYING THEIR GAMES AGAIN"
"THIS IS ALL EA'S FAULT, THOSE GREEDY BASTARDS"
/sighs....... gamers need to grow some f*bleep*king balls. I remember the days when if a game was released bugged, it REMAINED bugged, forever. No official patches, no fan patches due to lack of internet, games were either good, or were not. If you wanted a bug fix you had to BUY THE GAME AGAIN in the future updated releases.
Now we got gaming companies that release games, and if the game is bugged, they release fix patches FOR FREE, so you can enjoy the game. And yet people whine. I would have Issues if variable decisions from ME1 not imported correctly (Like Conrad Verner on ME2) or game crashing every 5 seconds, or voice-clips not working, or quests not triggering.
But having to spend a few extra minutes recreating your face is REALLY such a big idea? Skyrim had WAY WORST problems than that on release. Didn't stopped it from becoming the best friking game of this decade.

I think people have the right to not like and not buy any game they want. I wish they would respect that I have the right to like and buy any game I want. This is not an issue affecting world hunger, incurable diseases, our eternal souls, or a nuclear meltdown in a major city. It's a game. The amount of rage people allow themselves to feel over it is sad. The control-freak need they have to try and make sure no one else enjoys it is scary.

Agreed.
BTW, remember that "Renegade solution" To Khalisah (AKA: Annoying reporter from hell in ME1 and 2)? Turns out the Paragon Solution is (For the first time) WAY BETTER.
I wont spoil it, but its incredible, I'm actually having second thoughts about punching her a third time, and actually take the paragon solution this time around.
Its THAT good. (It even ends with a little tear jerker, and earned Khalisah some manner of redemption)

I almost always take the Paragon route anyway- there are still some good ones. Like in ME2, when Garrus gets out of the med bay and is like "No one will give me a mirror- it must be pretty bad." or something like that.
The paragon response is "Well hell Garrus, you were always ugly. Slap some face paint on there and no one will be able to tell the difference."

strange, I don't recall there having a paragon or renegade option there, shepard just talks automatically, and what s/he says is dependent on gender, not alignment. I know because my shepard is mostly renegade (With about 1/3 of the total paragon bar) and she still said the same thing to garrus after his recruitment.
BTW, I love the way garrus responds to that remark by fem!shep (The response for the male version isn't as funny) he says "Well, some women find facial scars attractive........... then again, most of those women are krogan ¬.¬" (I nearly spat my coffee all over my screen when he said that xD)
Male version, shepard says the same thing, but garrus responds "Well, I felt like you deserved a shot at getting some attention, women were always looking at me, and ignoring you entirely"
(or something similar)

BTW, gametrailers just gave its review for ME3
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-mass-effect/727641
A fantastic 9.5 score. Which considering that skyrim had 8.5 proves that a minor bug that you can work around it can't really stop the awesomeness of a game that is GOOD. I've been listening to the soundtrack of ME3 and I gotta say, its fantastic, and DEFINITELY making its way to my playlist.
Special mention for the track "Lost without you" (Which I'm assuming plays during the romance cutscene) and the track "Stand United, Stand Together" which I have no idea where it plays but sounds like GLORY.

I just played that mission on my newest playthrough, like, 3 days ago, so I remember the dialog pretty well. After she says it, he laughs and is like "Oh, don't make me laugh. My face is barely holding together as it is."
I'm glad Garrus is making a return (he's in all the promotion stuff so I don't think that's a spoiler at this point).

Okay, we get it. You don't like ME3. There's no need to keep posting in here about why, you've made yourself clear before. If you preferred strawberry ice cream over pistachio, would you protest about how it's abominable and an insult to strawberry ice cream that pistachio icecream even exists to people who enjoy pistachio ice cream?

you know, one would think we would had gotten the message that he hates bioware after whining about the game, calling Christina Norman "Fat" (showing a complete disregard for others BTW) Posting a video laced with heavy spoilers about the ending, spreading a false rumor that you can't import saves from the older games (its only the face, and only if its from ME1 and wasn't unchanged on ME2, and even then, you can easily re-create the face in less than 5 min as I've already proven with screenshots) and then post User-reviews, which happen to lack any validity because as a common saying goes:
Hater's gonna hate.
World of Warcraft has gotten ABSYSMAL user reviews too, as has RIFT, Age Of Conan, Aion, and just about every game in existence. In the end, some people find these games fun, and others don't and that's the end of it.
Of course, given that his mission is to troll, I'm simply asuming that at this point he no longer cares. I wonder why hasn't he even been banned....... looking at his posting history of the past 3 months, 80% of his posts are nothing more than rant after rant after rant. And that's not counting moderator-removed posts.

The more you talk about him, the more he gets off on his antics in this thread. Let it die, and he will get bored and move on. Did you read my link about tactical ignoring and it's usefulness when dealing with people who exhibit compulsive attention-seeking behavior as part of a personality disorder?
