humm, Bioware really thinks of EVERYTHING.
Get this: If you play ME3, and NEVER ever talk to vega (And I mean never, neither on the normandy, nor on the citadel, and never take him on a single mission whatsoever) and then suddenly right before the final mission on earth suddenly you now wanna talk to him, he'll be pretty darn pissed off at you because you ignored him on the entire game.
Go figure :P the amount of detail on this game is really staggering.

Like many others, I was utterly disappointed with the way Bioware ended the Mass Effect series. But, the Extended Cut does provide the closure and answers the fans have been asking for. At least it does so for me.
Thank you, Bioware!
Personally, I'm going to choose Control in my next playthrough. While I like all the extended endings, I think Synthesis doesn't really fit the Mass Effect-universe very well, and I can't stand killing the Geth and EDI with the Destroy ending. Therefore it's going to be Control for me. Also, Shepard's monologue at the end is beyond awesome!
Edit: Bad grammars and stuff. Yeah...

=O shiny, Bioware is launching a new DLC this next august 28th.
Called: Leviathan. It will revolve around an ancient being, powerful enough to go one-on-one against a reaper AND KILL IT.
http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_Effect_3:_Leviathan
Taking place during the events of Mass Effect 3, players will be thrust into the darkest corners of space where they will hunt a mysterious being rumored to be powerful enough to destroy a Reaper. As they race against time, they will begin to unravel the secret of the Leviathan. Explore uncharted systems and new areas on the Citadel, interact with brand new characters, unlock the AT-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle and discover more about the mysterious history of the Reapers.
According to the wikia, this DLC will add 2 new weapons (Shotgun and Assault Rifle) new mods, and a new mission.
Due to the way ME3 is built, its a shame that no DLC will ever take place post-game =/ but I guess beggars can't be picky.

In the wake of Bioware co-founders Ray Muzyka and Gred Zeschuck retiring, Aaryn Flynn, general manager at Bioware, released a blog post regarding the future for the company:
“Executive Producer Casey Hudson and his team are coming off an amazing eight-year run with the Mass Effect trilogy. But they’re not done yet. We are releasing more multiplayer content and we have
more single-player stories coming throughout the next six months, including Omega which is coming in the Fall.
But the Mass Effect universe is vast, and Casey and our teams have
plans for another full game.
‘Where to go next?’ with such a project has been a question a lot of us have been asking, and we’d all love to hear your ideas.”
So, we are going to see more single player DLC, this time set on Omega. And, talks of another ME game? Yes, please!

wait what? o_O why?

'Bout time, I've been waiting to see how is Omega retaken from Cerberus since I read the comic Invasion, which explains just how exactly did Aria lost her club. I do have to wonder if the DLC will take place before, or after the ending.
And, talks of another ME game? Yes, please!
I'm hoping its an expansion. Even after the Extended Cut DLC was released, I'm still not 100% satisfied with the way things ended.
Mostly because Shepard is still dead T_T
Come on, they did an expansion for Dragon Age origins, why can't they do one for Mass Effect 3?

New DLC announced for ME3.
Omega.
As the name implies, this one has us taking back the Omega Station from the hands of Cerberus. For those who didn't read the comic "Mass Effect: Invasion" Aria T'loak lost her grip on the seedy station when Cerberus made a deal with her, then betrayed her leading to the station to become firmly under the cerberus grip.
This DLC has us taking it back, it will include 2 temporary party members, Aria herself, and a FEMALE turian called Nyreen. It will include 2 new weapons, and 4 missions aboard the deadly Capital of the Terminus Systems.
Its due to be released on November 27th.
As a diehard fan of Aria ("There is only one rule in Omega: Don't F*** with Aria") this makes me very happy =D
(•_•)
It looks like its time to see what happens....
( •_•)>⌐■-■
To those who break.........
(⌐■_■)
Omega's only rule.
YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I wonder if she is gonna look like the female Turians in the comic about the Illusive Man. What I am talking about is, obviously the top of her head, which is hidden under the hood. The female in the comic looked bald-like, didn't have the spiky things that the males have. I like the face on the screenshot, it looks both Turian and feminine.
Not sure if I will buy Omega. I am not playing Mass Effect 3 much anymore. May return to it after I am done with a lot of other games, and after more DLC's are released. I didn't even play Leviathan (although I did watch the crucial moments on Youtube just for the sake of lore - it was okay).
If Omega ends up being a second Lair of the Shadow Broker, it might be pretty exciting. The settings bear some similarities.

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle.......... :P
Ya know that old saying that goes "if you want something done right, do it yourself"? well, some folks took that saying
VERY SERIOUSLY
What you are looking at here, is a fanmade mod for ME3, that changes the rather infamous ending. Its a pretty standard fact that 90% of the players hated the vanilla ending, and while the Extended Cut DLC fixed most of what was wrong with it, there were still some who felt it still wasn't enough.
Cue these fine people who've collaborated amongst themselves to give ME3 a proper happy ending.
Don't believe me?
see for yourself
. IMO, for a FANMADE mod, this is actually pretty good.
It uses spliced dialog sequences from ME2 and ME3, as well as cinematic sequences from ME3, extended cut, and (ironically) the worst ending of ME3, in order to create a 100% unambiguously Happy Ending for the game.
Things that happen on this mod:
- It removes the catalyst scene. No ifs, not buts. It's gone for good. (So is your choice, you will now destroy the reapers no matter what).
- It introduces a whole new scene showing how Joker disobeys orders and keeps the Normandy in the fight long enough for Shepard to be rescued (with the help of a certain Alliance captain :))
- The Normandy no longer crash-lands on the Weirdo Planet
- The Geth and EDI survive. EDI is now present during the memorial and you can add new slides to the epilogue that will show the geth, if they are alive. All credit and thanks for the slides goes to areyouareaper!
- You will see your Shepard reunited with his/her crew (and even some interaction unique to your LI if the LI is part of the Normandy crew). While they don't exactly have a party, now it is a real bitter-sweet ending with the emphasis on "
sweet
" rather than on "bitter"
- The musical score is changed quite extensively, including the credits song
- Since v0.2, Harbinger will say a few lines during the beam run
All in all, I love it. There's some stuff I didn't quite liked. For example, during the final cinematic, it has the music of the ME2 Ending (Suicide Mission) rather than the soothing piano song from ME3. But hey, it has a song from Maluka (Of Skyrim Fame) replacing the credits song, so lose some, win some, I guess. It also has new slides made by fan artists (which look DAMNED GOOD) for certain ending conditions, such as Geth/Quarian peace, ect.
I'm overall very impressed with this thing, and applaud the dedication some fans have to this franchise that devoted several months developing this in order to give Shepard,
THE ENDING S/HE DESERVES GODDAMMIT! >_>
Edit: and this is still a work in progress, further modifications will be made in due time, as the author/s of this mod plan on adding more to it.

It's pretty decent. The cut dialogue is kinda shabby and the recorded dialogue could use better quality, but I still really like it. And I believe the hug at the end was original animation done by someone who made the mod. Not a bad job at all.
I am not really gonna download it, but I am glad I saw it.
I just recently started playing ME3 again cause I got Omega and Leviathan (I was waiting for Omega and didn't really care for Leviathan, but as I was in the store, I was like oh eff it I'll get all the DLC). Didn't get to the DLC content yet though, cause I decided to make a brand new character for it... since the story of my Engineer Shepard is done already and it feels weird to return to him. I am playing Infiltrator now... good times. Slow motion headshots are amazing.

are any of the DLCs good enough to justify playing through the game again? (Lair of the Shadow Broker comes to mind)
kinda curious, as I haven't touched the game at all since i finished it, and lingering bitterness about the ending aside, some of these look interesting.

So I finished Leviathan and Omega.
Leviathan was... kinda weak. It lasted for a while, but in general, it was a few short missions with slow story advancement and generic combat filler (no new enemy units, just Reaper ground forces over and over). The climax of the Leviathan plot sheds a bit of light on lore about the Reapers, but overall is kinda underwhelming.
The goodies that you can get in the DLC include a husk head for your captains cabin, a few new weapon upgrades that are not very interesting though, and there may be a new weapon too but I am not using it, and I can not tell which one it is cause I have so many weapon packs...
Omega was good. Comparable to Lair of the Shadow Broker. Lair had a few advantages over Omega. The music was awesome, there was that one part with a car chase, boss fights were cool and pretty memorable. Omega has neither of those. It doesn't have anything that would divert from the classic formula of dialogue/combat that you could liken to the car chase. You fight Cerberus forces exclusively, which should be very well known to you, but if you look at it critically... the Cerberus forces in ME3 offer a much wider variety of enemy threats than the mercs you fought in Lair of the Shadow Broker. There are two (or maybe just one? Not sure about the combat mechs.) new enemy types, which is... slightly refreshing. The strong points of Omega are the length of the campaign (it lasts for about 5 hours. Possibly the longest DLC for any Mass Effect I have ever played, and if you compare it to the 30 hours that it takes to complete the vanilla ME3, it actually increases the lifespan of the game marginally.), Nyreen (She is badass, charismatic, and also is the first female turian you will ever meet, so that's nice.), the dialogues between Aria and Nyreen, and the visuals of Omega. A few times I was struck with the classic feeling where I felt like I should move forward because I have stuff to do, but I couldn't force myself to stop gazing at the scenery. There is even some variety among the missions, while most of them take place in the urban areas of Omega (so you keep seeing the same textures and visual styles), one of them is set in a different environment and it's badass and epic.
Completing this DLC will award you with a new array of weapon modifications, which are, this time around, pretty interesting actually. I like how they have a greater benefit than other upgrades, but also have some serious drawbacks. You will also get two new bonus abilities for Shepard (both of them are Biotic which is kinda unfortunate, I play a TechShep...), out of which Flare is completely overpowered. And a chess board for your captains cabin.
Also, both DLC's had a short passage that had a horror-atmosphere. I found the atmosphere very good, but they didn't really use it to the fullest potential in my opinion. There were parts where I was like "oh my god if this would happen now, I would bloody die right here on the spot", and they never actually went that far with the scariness.
Overall I would not strongly recommend Leviathan but I would really recommend Omega.

New DLC, eh.
And so my hopes of an expansion fade away ='(
I so badly wanted something official to fix the one thing in the extended cut ending that I didn't liked.
Shepard's Death, or in the case of the red ending, that you don't get to see him/her reunite with the crew and romance interest
Ohh well, at least there's still the Happy Ending DLC.
Also....... just 3 single-player DLCs for ME3? BOOO. ME2 got a lot more love regarding DLCs
Specially Lair of the Shadow Broker. I Swear to god, BEST DLC EVER MADE.
PERIOD.
Specially if you romanced Liara :P her banter with a romanced shepard (Specially femshep) is PRICELESS.

Finally was able to play Omega and Leviathan.
I'm afraid I'll have to agree with this. Its not a bad DLC; in fact its a MUST HAVE DLC due to the lore it provides, but the combat sequences were pretty generic, the scenery wasn't very impressive, and not many badass moments for Shepard.
HOWEVER all of that changes on the last planet you visit in this DLC. Everything on that planet makes this DLC worth it, from the AWESOME ending (where you basically talk to C'tchulu, and call him a chickensh*t coward to his face) to the incredible underwater sequence. I loooooooooooooooved the ending of the Leviathan DLC, and (haven't confirmed this yet) some have told me it affects a little bit the dialog with the Catalyst in the end. by having a few extra lines.
Omega was (IMO) less impressive than leviathan. Sure the scenery was gorgeous, being able to see familiar zones awoke some nostalgia, it added 2 enemy types, as well as 2 really cool (albeit impractical) weapons, but its music was very underwhelming. At least Leviathan had a pretty impressive score (even if a couple of the tracks were remixed from ME2's DLC "Project Overlord")
But Omega lacked that badass music, even on scenes that would had GREATLY been improved if they had the proper music, as Aria gives 2 speeches in this DLC, and none of them have any musical background. Also, like the rest of ME3, it lacked any good boss battles. If there's a reason Project Overlord and Lair of Shadow Broker still stick in my head is due to those AWESOME boss battle sequences, Shadow Broker in particular providing the HARDEST BOSS IN THE ENTIRE FRANCHISE.
None of that happens on either Leviathan or Omega. On the highlights of Omega, you get to see Aria kick some serious ass, as Thror said you see the first (and only) female turian to ever show up in the trilogy, and my favorite character from the expanded universe materials showed up, General Oleg Petrovsky, from the comic "Mass Effect Invasion". Its such a shame that a guy as AWESOME as him had to be relegated to a DLC, he would had been a fantastic counterpart to shepard in the main campaign.
Overall, ME2's DLC are far better than ME3's. Haven't tried Citadel yet, but as far as Omega and Leviathan goes, Leviathan is indispensable due to the lore it adds and I'd compare it to Arrival on ME2, Omega is just if you wanna see Aria kicking some major ass (as well as you saving hers more than once, she's a reckless female Leeroy Jenkins >_>) and face off with one of the coolest Generals you're likely to see in fiction. Too bad he didn't had a proper boss battle, but that fits him, as he's a strategist, not a frontline brawler.
Eagerly awaiting to play Citadel, as soon as I can get my hands on it.
Edit: Ohh and I encountered a very annoying bug on Leviathan >_> almost made me not finish the DLC altogether. On that mission to rescue that female scientist, I had to go through a series of shelled out buildings, and then I get to this ladder........ MY GOD THAT LADDER. Its bugged, as I approach it, my shepard does the "climb down" animation but still stays at the rooftop, and that's how it stays, I can't get out of that rooftop. I had to look online for a solution, as I'm not the only one. If anyone else gets this error, just keep pressed CTRL as you move to the ladder and you'll climb down normally.
Edit 2: And on Omega
OH MY GOD, I SO WANT THE ARMOR USED BY THE TALONS
I swear to god that has got to be the coolest armor in the entire game. All the variants, the Human variant, Krogan variant, Turian variant, Asari variant, all of them are awesome.
What I wouldn't give to have a fanmade addon that allowed me to have that armor for myself and my squad. Not only does it have a BADASS crimsom-red color (the one I wanted for my armor, in ME2 I was able to paint my armor Crimson, but in ME3 all I get is this shiny bright red :S) but its also gold-plated and has a really cool insignia on it.
Come on bioware, why couldn't you let us have that armor? Rather than make a billion weapon pack DLCs why don't you make some frikking armor for a change?
