Either Super Mario or Mega Man, can't quite remember. Might've been a japanese Pokémon, as well.

@ Ashelia- was it Super Mario Brothers, or the real original, "Mario Brothers"? I don't know if many people remember that before it was a side scrolling game, there was a Mario vs. Luigi 2-player game.
My first gaming system was an Atari Odyssey- one of those ones with 2 controllers, and a console with something like a keyboard on it, that had the most basic graphics imaginable. It was really my father's- I had to be 5 or 6. I remember a vollyball game that played like pong, a racing game where the road moved under the car, and all you did was move right or left to avoid the cars they sent at you, and some war game I never understood that came with a map and a bunch of little figurines so you could track the over-all progress of your military campaign, since the game didn't have any kind of save capability. Ah, good times.
And I'm not really as old as that makes me sound.

For me, a huge mix of Genesis and SNES games. Can't remember too specifically what I started on, but I do remember long hours playing Super Mario World, Secret of Evermore, and a few others.

Secret of EvermoreHeh, one of the most underrated and under-appreciated action RPG's of the SNES era.

It was either Super Mario Bros. 2 for the N64, Zelda 2 for the N64, or Castlevania 2, Simon's Quest (also for the N64). Most interestingly; the last 2 are apparently regarded as bad compared to the originals, but I prefer them over the originals.

Cant remember the name but you played a cat. It was a platformer, the end of the level was a ball of yarn.

The first game I really remember playing was
Repton
on a friends BBC computer that he won in a raffle. I seem to recall that it came on a couple of tapes and that they regularly used to crash during load-up lol.
I can't remember the first console game that I played but I do remember getting a Sega Master System for Christmas one year and myself and three friends played Sonic almost constantly for three days until we had completed it.
