Guild Leveling 1-25 Solo, Is It Possible?

I'm currently grinding 5 Darkmoon dailies per day on each of 11 different characters (spread across two realms, of course), AND grinding for Grisly Trophies, while still finding time for random dungeons and general screwing around. Granted, I'm unemployed so I have nothing better to do than spend 14 hours per day playing WoW at Starbucks, but still...
I say go for it. If you succeed, you will become more famous than Leeroy Jenkins, and your friends will high-five and worship you forever.
On a related note, what's the best way for a level 60-70 character to grind for guild rep? I need to get up to Honored if I'm to buy that Ripped Sandstorm Cloak and Burnished Helm of Might that I really want.

Umm, the best way for a level 60-70 character to grind for guild rep is questing IMHO. Although I have no experience with trying to grind rep any other way.
Cheers.

If you aren't in a solo guild, get 2-4 other Guild mates and run dungeons like mad; even the low level dungeons give a crap ton of guild rep per boss kill as long as everyone is roughly the same level.

Cool. I'll see if anyone from the guild is at the same level as my 65 hunter.

I do think I'll get back to my solo guild once MoP hits though. It will be interesting to see how much XP all those 86-90 quests will bring in. And once one toon gets to 90, being able to do as many dailies as I want will be quite intriguing.
Cheers.
I played around a little bit in the beta this morning. I'm reasonably sure that I did 14 quests. That yielded 780,000 guild experience. Roughly the same as 45 Cata Dailies.

I do hope those numbers hold, dagle. My little one-man guild is in quite a slump XP-wise (why can't gathering and killing mobs give guild XP?), but if leveling my characters to 90 will be that good... :)

MoP will make a difference imo. The exp to get from 85-90 is 5 times what it was from 80-85*. That ought to help small guilds a lot with the first 20 to 25 levels especially if you have a lot of alts. But Guild levels 26-30 are gonna be murder.
And fwiw I have a Guild that was leveled by me and one other old friend up till 5 months ago. It was level 14 when he pulled the pin but since then Firelands Dailies on 3-4 toons a day for 3 months has made it almost Level 17.

Does anyone have any information yet on what changes have been made to low level character guild xp gains? I recall reading that it was going to be increased somehow, but I haven't seen anything recently on how this is going to be accomplished.

Well I went back to the Beta for some testing. I did 5-6 more quests to finish the first town's quest line. The first 5 quests were 111k player xp and 60k guild xp. The 6th quest was 166k player xp and 60k guild xp. So I'm thinking, it looks like the percentage of player xp is eliminated in favor of a flat amount per quest. I wonder what it is for the starter quests. Create a level 1, run to SW, get recruited to a random guild, go back and do the starter quests...60k guild xp per quest from the shortest breadcrumb to the collection quests. To reach the old 7+m daily cap would take 130 quests at 60k/per...that's pretty reachable for even a smaller guild.
So either they've decided to make every quest worth an ungodly amount of guild xp or they've just plugged in a figure for Beta. However I did see a notation on another site which said:
Patch 5.0.4 (PTR): It is easier to gain guild reputation, also at lower levels.
That is the current Beta patch, however I cannot find that statement in the actual PTR patch notes.
There is no indication of a daily cap for either the level 1 or level 2 guild that I'm in on the Beta nor is there an indication of a weekly rep cap.
My educated guess for MOP are now:
1. Every quest will give between 40k and 60k from level 1 to 90.
2. There will be no daily cap or no reputation weekly cap.
3. The experience curve from 25-30 will be quite a bit steeper than 1-25. Maybe double (100m+ per level) so that it will take nearly as much experience to go from 25-30 as it takes to go from 1-25 (around 850m).

Actually Guild Exp is bugged in Beta; all quests, be it level 1 or 90 give the same amount. Don't use that as your basis.

Since it has been like this since the first beta build, I have come to believe that this is intended

See, that's why this place is awesome. Thanks very much for testing to find an answer, and for a complete and clear answer to my question. You rock.

Keep in mind it's the Beta and the actual experience granted might be different but I suspect if so it isn't going to drop a whole ton. There was some commentary from the Blues that they wanted lower levels to feel more like they were contributing to the advancement of the guild level. I was expecting something of a tier system, like 5k gxp 1-40, 7.5k gxp 41-60, 10k gxp for BC, 15k gxp for Wrath, 20-25k gxp for Cata and 35-50k gxp for MoP. 60k gxp across the board is pretty hefty amount of gxp.
Guild level 25 would take 14,100 quests give or take at 60k gxp per. That's not even enough to get the lowest level guild achievement which comes for 15k dailies or 25k regular quests. If gxp stays the same then guild level 25 will be the MOP equivalent of level 85. It's only sorta a grind if you are doing it by yourself but if you had a guild of 10 level 70's and they did every quest in Wrath and Cata, I'm pretty sure they'd be GLevel 25 before they were finished.

Maybe intended for Beta, but I have a feeling you aren't going to get 60k exp for doing level one quests in live lol.

What would the point of giving a boatload of guild xp in beta? I didn't notice a ton of guilds, no one recruiting and it actually took me a bit to get someone to invite me to a guild. Do you think there are a bunch of guilds leveled up to 25 or 30 during the beta? I've seen no information on how much the gxp required to level after 25 so I am presuming that no beta guilds got there. What does Blizzard need to test in the Guild area, most of the perks are the same and only the lv 27 and 30 perks are identified, neither of which seem to be particularly significant. I would think there would be a better way to test the guild perks if Blizzard feels testing is necessary.

I was in a guild that went from 1 to 25 in Beta; when it first started all quests were awarding 16k or so exp(again, even level 1 quests), then it got bumped up to 60k when the Guild Level was frozen at 25; so far that hasn't been unfrozen. More then likely it was just testing of everything, so while it's possible some quests in Mists will end up with that much exp, don't think they all will.
And Guild Rep had no weekly cap on it either, and people were getting insane amounts of guild rep too lol.

I would hope they do keep this. As it stands, starting a new guild is extremely difficult because you lack the good perks people looking for a guild want.

Yeah....no, that won't be making it to live lol; that's just for testing purposes.

But some increase is coming, right? Because they said they wanted to have lower level chars contribute more, didn't they?
Interesting to see once it goes live I guess.
BTW: There's a guy 'smadam' on the guildwars2forums site that I thought was you, but he was from the UK, and you're from Canada, so I guess not :)
Cheers.
