I hope she does, because otherwise I'm leaving, for good. He was the last character I genuinely liked (well, beside Tyrion).
You don't like Stannis!
There is no way he's really going to be dead. Are you familiar with the fan theories about his parentage?

The last few books kind of disappointed me. Although ADWD was an improvement over AFFC. I just wish he didn't release them at a snails pace >.<
Wow really? I thought the last books were the best. I do wish he would release a new book everyday though...
Also I hate Jon Snow. His chapters and Cat's are the most boring things in the history of all time. It's really the only thing I've disliked.
I liked ADWD. AFFC just didn't have any of the characters I liked.
For me the order goes ASOS > AGOT/ACOK > ADWD >> AFFC.
Everybody has different things they like or dislike about the series though. So with the characters in the last two books divided up, I can see how one person might hate a book and another would love it.

Alternating between AFFC and ADWD at the same time is
much
better, it's what I did on my re-read, and it's actually great. It doesn't solve the pacing issues that Dany's storyline had, but it definitely makes the comparisons between Dany and Cersei that GRRM was going for much clearer. I
need
a Sansa preview chapter from TWOW, though, like
now
.

Sansa definitely got a whole lot more interesting after ASOS.

And Martin kind of exposed her to that whole oversexualization thing I was talking about in the other thread. Seems like every other chapter had her in a dress with one of her #$%^ hanging out or having weird fantasies about Daario, or ^&*!ing one of her servants or something. That scene where she thought how she was jealous of the naked woman on his weapons because he was rubbing his thumb over it clinched it for me.Alternating between AFFC and ADWD at the same time is

I think I'll try that on my next read. I would always get this little smirk on my face every time Cersei would hear a rumor about dragons and go "Dragons? PFFFFFT! Gtfo, I'm busy doing queenly things!"
Also am I the only one who thinks Bran needs to get some more love? I feel like we barely see anything of him since ASOS...

Yeah, I love Bran but he really doesn't get the showtime he deserves. That said, it's a little difficult to imagine his ADWD storyline being much longer than it was without being subject to Dany or Jon syndrome (ie. dull and repetitive, not filler necessarily, but too
long
for what it was). I feel like so, so much of AFFC and ADWD (all, in the case of the Stark sisters) is based on setting things up, and that may be where the problem is - because we all knew for a fact we'd be left waiting for another few years to see the pay off of some of those books.
And as much as we criticise the Meereen storyline, from what we know of the upcoming battle (2 Barristan chapters covering it), it looks like it's going to be pretty great.

Dany's storyline... gah. It's so bad.
Also, I hated Stannis. He was so dull. His Hand was a cool guy, but he's kinda dropped off the radar. Sansa was boring as all get out until the last couple books and I don't like Arya >.>

Bran's puberty voice annoys me, not much you can do about that though. So far liking the Brotherhood a lot.
I don't think I've mentioned yet how much I love the guy who plays Jamie. Dude has just the right combination of bravado and condescension.

Dislike the books, but I find the TV show to be one of the best produced fantasy television series I've ever seen. I am really happy it's as successful as it is, so maybe we will start seeing more high quality stuff instead of more low-budget stuff like Merlin or Legend of the Seeker (not horrible shows
per se
, but the budget definitely showed).

Rob is such a b***h. It's his own fault for not explaining his plans to Edmure. After all the massive royal (no pun intended) $%^& ups by him and his mother, they both need to lay off of him.

No he didn't. And iirc in the book all he did was prevent the Mountain from crossing the Trident, he never knew Robb planned on leading Tywin on a big chase to keep him away from the Blackwater battle.

Why do people dislike evil characters? I love them! They're part of why I like the series so much.

I like evil characters who are still good for their role. I love the Mountain for example. Well I love to hate him at least. He's a great villain, psychotic, and evil, and irredeemable in every way. Plus he makes the Hound acceptable by comparison.
But Cersei is every bit what CATDC said she was, both ^&*!%y and useless. I'll also add narcissistic, paranoid, and generally an inept ruler.
Although I actually am starting to get her as a plot device after following Patty's advice and reading the chapters of AFFC and ADWD interchangeably to see the comparison between her and Danerys as rulers.
