Why not just allow ourselves to fall in love with whomever we may instead of binding ourselves to such inadequate labels?
What about people who like animals or objects or little kids or corpses etc?
That was what I wanted to know; can the people with socially unacceptable sexualities have control over them.
One word: Consent.
Love without consent isn't love, so the question is moot.
An animal cannot consent to a relationship, because it does not possess the mental faculties to do so. The same holds true for inanimate objects and corpses. Children will eventually have the emotional and mental capacity to consent to a relationship, but that develops over time, and they don't possess it at the age we label as "child".
Incredibly wishful thinking here. They aren't going to follow.
Some of them will. Some of them won't. It seems most people just don't like change; they'll resist it until it happens, and then they adjust to the inevitable after the fact.
I'll make an educated prediction here: Homosexuals in the United States will be able to marry* the person they love, regardless of gender several decades before the percentage of population opposing it drops anywhere close to 40%.
I hope to see it in my lifetime, but I can't say that for certain, despite the advances that we've made lately. To quote The Eagles, "Things in this life change very slowly, if they ever change at all."
*Or enter into an equivalent civil contract wholly legally equivalent to marriage.

Homo.
Also, I won't ever settle for a "civil contract wholly legally equivalent to marriage." That's just my position on that subject.
I just want to tell people to stay out of my business and I'll stay out of theirs.

I agree to this. Marriage (even the etymology of the word) pre-dates Christianity and thus cannot be defined by Christians as "between a man and a woman" specifically.
On the other hand I don't think that religious institutes are obligated to 'marry' couples that they do not believe should be married.

Why is off topic so concerned about the desire of its members to have intercourse with or without penises? Why is this such a vogue topic?

I'm not; really starting to think that Bi is the actual standard setting for humanity at this point in our evolution.

Their theory was that by eliminating 50% (roughly) of the population, they also reduced their chances of finding their perect partner.
In reality though, there is no such thing as a perfect partner. As Dan Savage puts it, there is no "one", there's just some rounding up. For a start, very few people are homo or bisexual, so expanding one's horizons to the same sex doesn't actually increase the dating pool by very much. Practically, attending more social functions with people in the same age group is more likely to do it.
