When did Wowhead General become such a horrible forum?

I liked the veiled post count insult
The way I see it, I find it very hard to imagine that over the past Year and 6 Months you have made almost 40,000 posts. WoW is the actual game, WoWhead (the forum side anyway) is all theory.I'd suggest you check out the L&RP section, primarily the Open RP's or the Forum Game section before making comments like that heh. You'd be surprised.

My point is, the forcefulness you perceive is to some extent deliberate, and the goal is not to provoke or insult, it is to communicate. It is part of my style, and that style definitely has its merits.Right....and the fact that you also look down on the entire forum community as beneath you has nothing at all to do with it.....Also, as you say nothing with massive words, no one really pays attention to you Aestu, beyond to openly mock and ridicule you.
Based on that comment, I actually read the post.
I would offer this honest criticism, Aestu: If forcefulness and confidence are what you're attempting to communicate, then the fact that you have rather large numbers of people who repeatedly tell you that you're coming off as pompous and condescending should relay that you
aren't
being an effective communicator.

Why would anyone do that?
Life's affairs are zero-sum and a plus to one is a negative to another. It's like the child screaming the emperor has no clothes getting drowned out by the crowd. Part of what makes internet forums so worthwhile is that they allow everyone to have a voice, without getting drowned out by the crowd.
What would be the point of doing this, anyway? What's the benefit, the payoff?
It would help bring what the majority of the community feels relevant and useful to the forefront of the thread.
Way to often the main point of a OP gets lost in the pages of off-topic and trolling posts.
Threads with useless postings minimized would make sifting out the information you actually want easier. It would make these forums that much more useful .Being able to quickly scroll through a thread that has 50+ pages of crap is nothing but a good thing.

Whose opinion does a man with common sense regard as more credible, that of a superior or an inferior?
The one who's not being a dork. You realize of course Aestu, if you didn't talk like you ate the dictionary, the thesaurus and one of those super word searches for dinner and have the desire to throw it up all over us, you'd probably have more 'stimulating' conversations in the discussion threads, as people would respond to you. But the way you act currently just makes most of the forum goers angry as you come off as a condescending *!@#$% bag with an over inflated sense of purpose and ego, who is right over the rest of us peons.
tl/dr: Stop acting like God's gift to Warcraft, and you'll find the threads you post in don't get locked instantly.

Ah-ha. Tyranny of the majority.
And what exactly is wrong with that? I like many others come here to get USEFUL information and contribute in a constructive manner. Threads like these are nothing but a way to increase my epeen count with nonconstructive banter.

I'm sorry you feel that way. You are free to disregard my words.
And I do, though I constantly do the Wall Bang as I attempt to get it into your head, the way your acting, does you more harm then good on Wowhead.
I just write posts and try to share information and convince others of my views.
If you don't think I'm succeeding, then isn't that is sufficient for your purpose?
Except you've never done it; you post in a thread, and people who 'agree' with you already had the same views, you didn't convert them. And everyone else just mocks you constantly.
But I guess
extermianner
sig still says it best about you Aestu.
