The LFD tool effectively removes one of the funnest things to do for Hordies this time of year, defend the monestary from Allies trying to get to the Horsemen. No QQ here since my guild went back to a PvE realm, but I have to say I'll miss the world PvP from back in the day.

I know the PvP servers naturally supress empathy in people, but did you ever think about how much "fun" it was for the other side?

We saw this even on PvE servers, to an extent. I was Alliance-side still last year, and Horde would set elaborate traps at SM to start some PvP battles. They'd get groups of 4-5 stashed in the various instances, and then have a single friend wait outside, PvP-flagged, as a 'honey pot'. Once the Allies attacked him, he'd rush into a portal, and the rest of the group would charge out to smear the Allise who just flagged themselves.

I'm glad they changed. It makes getting the Horseman much easier for casual players such as myself. I spend enough time running to each candy bucket

My only gripe with the old way of doing seasonal bosses was that they were disproportionally in horde territories. Yeah, it's a quick run/flight from UC to get to SM for headless horseman or to Silverpine Forest for the love is in the air bosses, but for me personally the 20 minute trips on EACH alt were a big waste of time.If they had at least put SOME bosses in horde territories and some in alliance zones it wouldn't have seemed unfair. Especially since this wasn't about "getting to see the zones" since I leveled plenty of times in Silverpine and other horde zones. I support the new LFD tool. If I want to spend hours running around lowbie zones I will do it on my own time and by choice.

Wrong. It suppresses the empathy in people that didn't have much to begin with. I'm a pretty empathic guy, play on a PvP server (and always have) and I would rather help than hinder Alliance players (yes, I'm Horde if you hadn't guessed it). Not that this is always easy.. or understood... or appreciated...

That's like saying you have "empathy" for the pawns you knock off the board in chess or "empathy" for the players you tag in a game of Capture the Flag.
It's treating PvP with mores appropriate to real life. It's taking the game too seriously.
Actually it's more like saying you have empathy for your opponent in a chess match, thus choosing to make a different move. Believe it or not, there are people playing the characters in games. Even if they sell gold.

I would say the other guy needs to man up and not take the chess game personally. So what if he gets outplayed? Big deal.
This is why we can't have nice things.

Ever heard that every rule has exceptions? It's a saying. So you are different. I do know that you are not the only one like that. I still think my post has nothing wrong with it. It was a pretty generic statement to begin with.
@Aestu: I theoretically could post a few counter-arguments to the BS you posted in this thread, but i think there have already been too many threads that got over 5 pages because of your stubbornness. So I'll pass.
