Yes, I do. In fact, I have a Wrath of the Lich King poster (from the Gamestop launch event) hanging on the wall of my cube at work.

The woman who sits beside me at work asked if I played Warcraft; her boyfriend/fiancee does, and she laughing(not a nasty laugh either) called me a nerd. I just smiled at her and agreed, which made her laugh some more.

I told my girlfriend on our very first date that I was just gonna come out and tell her that I play WoW. I didn't want it to be a secret and I needed a good excuse for why I couldn't go out with her on Sunday–Tuesday nights (scheduled raid nights). She breathed a sigh of relief and told me she played Diablo.
A few weeks later she signed up and we levelled a couple characters using the R-A-F bonus. We've now been together two years and she has two 80's ;)
I'm 29 and I don't have a problem telling anyone that I play WoW and pwn internet dragons, probably because us graphic designers are all geeks anyways and there could be worse things to keep secret.

When I was interviewing for a new work position 2 years ago, during the group interview, we had to go around the room saying our name and something fun about ourselves. Now, you need to picture this: everyone there was over 40, and generally older women. (This was for a storage/organization store.) The only other younger person (I was 27) was this cute asian chick. She stands up and says, "My name is Kimmy, and I love playing world of warcraft!" Everyone was dead silent, because no one understood.
I stood up and gave the girl a high five. We both got the job, and she's one of my closest friends at work.
So I reiterate what Adams said. Say it loud, and say it proud. The people who matter won't mind, and the people who mind don't matter.

Yes I openly announce I play wow. Then they ask what fraction I play, and I say Alliance, and they laugh at me. =/

I'm ashamed to admit among you fellow gamers that, yes, I am ashamed to admit that I play WoW. Partially because of my age (32) and the fact that I am currently unemployed. People tend to assume I'm just lazy and am wasting my life. As much as I'd like to say, "Screw them, they can think what they want" I just can't bring myself to. I won't deny it if someone asks straight out but I wouldn't generally list it among my leisure activities even though it is about 75% of my leisure activities.
