I was kicked from a guild once. Someone was complaining that "skilling up weapons was so hard and took forever!"
I I shift clicked and saw it was a Hunter. So I said " well as a Hunter unless its a Gun, Bow or Xbow there is no real reason to skill up."
Their response "Well Axxhole maybe I want the achievment!"
me: "Well you never stated that, then yes I guess enjoy leveling up those weapon skills =>"
/kick
I then proceed to try and leave with my alts to find that they as well had been kicked, except for my Rogue. So I logged into him and say "Hey guys, you forgot one! =>" and /gquit him.
I then rolled all of the alts into a much better more stable guild anyway.
So in the end it worked out to my advantage.

I got kicked because I didn't banish the Warrior in TOTC10 while I was on my Warlock.
Yeah, actually Gkicked for that.
Pretty glad now that I think of it, why would anyone want to be guilded with people that dumb?

A mix of
this video
and the comments. Apparently it was the GM. I think I showed him how bad his guild was after putting him in his place lol.

last week a friend from an old guild was kicked becuase his girlfriend left, he had been in the guild for years and had no desire to leave
ive never been kicked from a guild but I left that same guild cos one week the raids got messed up because the GM and most of the officers had gotten into the beta and had basically stopped caring about the guild so another officer decided to lead the icc that week. While our guild had an over abundance of healers all wanting to go to icc the officer pugged healers as he didnt seem to notice 20 people offering to go when he asked for healers in guild chat.
So just before the raid lockout when the guild was finished with icc for the week my best friend asked me to heal for his guild as they were short a healer and often had to pug a sub par healer. I knew my guild rules didnt allow pugging if we were raid back ups but as we were finished for the week and the officers still hadnt appeared I decided to go. So i went and had a good time and we went further than my guild usualy did and the next day the GMs wife finally comes online and I explain to her and she blows up at me about getting saved even though I pointed out we werent going back and I had 3 other geared healers that could go instead she still got really p****d and said shed talk about it later and went back to the beta so I just /gquit and joined my best friends guild instead.
I also left a guild once in early wrath because I had been selected for the raid that week and we had done extensive preparation for it as we werent experienced and on the day the raid leader doesnt bother to invite me and instead takes his undergeared rl friend who just hit 80 and wearing greens and ignored my whispers and eventually replied telling me I hadnt been on and he had asked for me in guild chat which was total BS cos I had been on for hours farming raid mats. I later found out they couldnt get past Anub'rekhan.
Oops I went on for too long.

The guild rule was 'You shouldn't be saved for raids when it's time for us to raid'
It was quite early tuesday morning and I went to clear an ICC as far as possible before reset, we were on putricide and GM logged in, saw I was in ICC and kicked me. I whispered with ? all he said was 'Rules say no getting saved'. I tried to reply I only would be saved for a couple hours but I was on ignore :/
Probably better off. Sounds like that GM was the typical moron with a sense of self-importance because they have a guild in WoW. I'm meeting more and more people like this; guys who think they're bigshots because they're a guild leader and have a bit of power to throw around, when they're just idiots who half the time don't know their own class, don't know how the game works, and don't know how to do anything.
*sigh* Just like the real world. Most business owners and managers are idiots who don't know anything at all, but because they own a company they think they're important.

This wasn't really me that got kicked from the guild, but it's a pretty bizarre story nonetheless:
In one of my guilds, there was a character called Treelol. He was a Druid healer and ofcourse, he was a tree. He made a few mistakes every now and then, and when people asked why he made those mistakes, I'd say it was because he was a treelol. Now, everything was all fine and dandy until one day I made the same joke after he must've done something, and for some reason, the guy totally flipped out and rage quitted from the guild. When I asked him why he left, I was on ignore. Also, the guild leader was pretty angry because apparently he was a good healer. Later on people said he actually left WoW because of me. That guy was mentally unstable lol...

It was RIGHT after 3.0.2 came out, speced fury, was kicked for hacking because I was dual weilding 2h weapons, obviously no one in the guild knew at the time it was a fury warrior talent...

Weirdest reason for me:
I was pugging ICC 25 on my shaman, and a GM from a guild happened to be in the run. He saw I was a pretty good healer, and invited me to the guild. I protested, saying my shaman was just an alt, and couldn't really put in dedicated attempts if they were planning progressing content as a guild. He said it didn't matter if it was an alt, and they'd love to have me.
Flash forward a month, half the guild (including my shaman) is kicked for "not committing themselves to progression". I exchanged mails with the GM, and he told me mostly the above again. I responded by saying what I did when first offered the invite, and he mysteriously never replied again.
