Testing can be done on dumby servers, I never once said they had to be on live servers, plant characters and the other essentials on dumby servers and test what you need there.
Wouldn't that be like taking in a car for an inspection, to see if a completely separate car is working?

Congratulations! You have just successfully demonstrated that you have no idea what goes on during server maintenance.

Chknnuggts, you tell me what ingenious ideals you have that will explain this all then. Give me a reason why Blizzards "limited" resources must do this. Have you noticed the extra hour of maintenance they added, again? I now don't get to play today, again.
Yeah becuase they found something that i'll bet money on they couldent replicate on a dummy server.

I wonder if all the people who complain about maintenance being extended have ever had something unexpected happen while doing something.
Like running out of gas while mowing the lawn.
Getting a flat tire while driving to work.
Being late for class because there was a power outage that turned off the alarm.
Missing an appointment because there was an accident that caused a 3 hour traffic jam
Getting sick the day of an interview.
I could go on, but the complainers will still not get it...
If you look at Blizzard's track record, you'd see that their unexpected happenings are way more frequent than should be tolerated.
However, if your luck is so incredibly bad that you think their frequency of mishaps is normal, I am very very sorry. Please give me your address so that I can send you something nice; I'm sure you're a really cool guy who just happens to have terrible luck that you don't deserve.

They could mirror a server's data perfectly buzz, and use that as a dummy server. And paladingod, you just said it EVERY SINGLE TUESDAY. Why must extensions happen often? Because they gave up trying to please the customers a long time ago, when this game first came out servers were rarely not up on time and they gave people free game time to compensate any problems. Now it's just kinda an attitude of "hey, f*** y'all, we just want your money".
Extensions dont happen often, they only happen WHEN AN EXPANSION IS GETTING CLOSE, or something is seriously wrong with the servers.
Also can someone prove or disprove his first sentance? I'm at work and they block most sites although strangely wowhead isent one of them.

I care to understand the why of how their maintenance worsened over the progression of the game? When they had glitch after glitch to fix upon the game's release, maintenance was so much faster.
It's almost as if more people are playing now or that the size and complexity of the game has increased.
