Moonkin:

Only questionmark i have atm. is Lunar Justice.. sence its gona be awsome to have while AOE farming..
Cenario:
In howling fjord i aoe farm Skinning (did atleased). for Artic fur. i popped starfall and ran as mutch in the seals as i could to collect as meny as possible. and then Hurricane em down..
10-20 mobs at the time. .10-20 mobs.. with the 2% mana back from eacth.. or simply on bigg trash packs.. fast and easy way to be rdy for next pack.
But.. then again.. why waist talants on something noncombat..
that is atlaesed my questionmark so far.

... or
this one
. An OT build if you want to call it that. I call it a more fun and situational build :) With imp Charge, Shredding Attacks, 3/3 KotJ and without MS.
Endless talent discussions ftw ^_^

I was talking about yours vs mine mate :) Taking both MS and KotJ, or go with one of em and take situational/dps talents
with the FFF change, I just don't know anymore >.<

Did you even stop to think?
You spend 5 points to get +4% dmg but refuse to spend 2 points for +4% physical damage? (Naturalist 3/5)
Perserverance should be maxed
Pred Inst is CAT only
Brutal imp gives us 10 sec interrupt, which I think we as a tank need
Shred att is OT/dps talent, yet you skip KotJ which is more so
Imp charge is of questionable value, there are better places IMO
Endless Carnage boost the pulverize duration, which helps in to keep the rotation
I put 2 points to KotJ, but that is personal preference. Those you are free to spend as you see fit
Hmm. dont get your idees here.
My questions to your comment:
Perserverance should be maxed
<--- reduce spelldamege taken.. yaa ofc its good. but realy that good ? am not sure about that
Pred Inst is CAT only
<--- Why ? damage = threat
Shred att is OT/dps talent
<-- also reduce Lacirate cost. and thats a pritty good one accordning to me.
Improved feral charge
<-- Awsome start to build up threat with. so why not ?
Reason i took 3 points in Perserverance and 3 in Naturalist. is becouse i had points over.. and both a ok to have.. but not more then ok.
And why not use improved Mangle ? multible targets to get the ticking on is awsome. and lets face it. you fight 1 boss on lets say 4 packs of trash. . but that is kinda a taste thingie according to me.
Endless Carnage. . well thats a tricky one. and yaa.. probl a misstake not to take it.
But then again.. on your specc.. you decided not to spend eny points in lowering the cost of lacerate.. witch pulverize is kinda based on (atleased crit chanse). so both them talants togather is a good option.. gona think about that one for a while.
King of the jungle.. to me its just a waist to be honest. better to spend talant points in talants that counts all the time.. and not only on 2 min cd. but thats a taste thing aswell.
but as the former spoker sayed.. talant discusions can continue for ever.. all about how you like to play your char..
My feral tank specc is tank ONLY.. sence am moonkin as mainspecc. so if i whana go DPS i just go moonkin. And i just respecced away my healing for feral tank instead.. so my gear isnt realy that good..

But then again.. in your spec.. you decided not to spend any points in lowering the cost of lacerate.. which pulverize is kind of based on (at least crit chance). So both of those talents together is a good option.. gonna think about that one for a while.

dude you fail hard here.
Talking about gaining threat in cat form (pred inst is CAT ONLY)?
Perseverance and Naturalist are not "ok to have", they're bloody
mandatory
! It still doesn't explain why you took 3 points in Naturalist for 6% increased damage, and then forsake the other 2 points to waste 5 points in MS for
exactly the same bonus
!
What is this 'ticking' you're talking about with imp. Mangle? And multiple targets? Did you actually read the tooltip?
About King of the Jungle: Enrage is a 1 min cd, not 2 min. And it's awesome especially for initial threat. You've taken imp. Charge for initial threat boosting, you should take this as well.
In BC, spell damage was the biggest weakness of a druid tank. In WotLK, Protector of the Pack helped that problem a bit by giving us 12% damage reduction. And now you would turn down 10% more spell damage reduction?
I didn't know you could respec to your moonkin spec AND regear midfight btw. O right! That's because you can't.
My eyes are bleeding having deciphered that post ...
Edit: attempt at making the quote more readable

Do keep in mind though, Nnoutaja, that the 16% base armour reduction will probably not get removed in Cata, so using it midfight will not always be a good idea (although on trash, barkskin can safely be popped. Although they said they'll make trash harder again iirc ...).
Edit: or, Parrazell, you can skip MS and have 8 talent points to spend on Thick Hide, OoC, Shredding Attacks, imp Mangle, Brutal Impact or Primal Madness ^_^

except that MS gives a greater guaranteed threat boost than any 5 talent points spent in any of those listed
Fun utility/survivability talents > a single threat boost for 5 points imo.

Hey Moonie!
This
is what I reckon will be the base build for Moonkins given the info so far, with 12 points left to spend where you choose.
Here are the options:
Genesis
- still as bad a dps boost and as much a waste of points as it ever was.
Moonglow
- still a poor mana regen talent and considering the new
Dreamstate
(likely to be in the realms of 150 - 175 mp5 by lvl 85) and
Euphoria
(12% TOTAL mana EVERY eclipse? Oo) I cant see that points spent there are going to be viable.
Lunar Justice
- Jury is still out on this one. It very much depends on whether you have to deal the killing blow or just do the target some damage. Either way, it will be at best a raid utility talent.
Brambles
- still a very small dps boost for 3 points. Mainly a pvp talent.
Gale Winds
- still only useful on trash, no benefit on boss fights unless lots and lots of adds are involved.
Improved Moonkin Form
- If Im correct, 2 other classes will be providing this buff so the likelyhood that you will have to take it will only be based on whether its necessary for them to take it or something else. No point in everyone providing buffs that dont stack!
Owlkin Frenzy
- Putting the last point in here is a no-brainer. (Although it will be dictated by raid mechanics in all reality. If it gets changed to be physical damage only again there will be no point in taking it at all.)
Fungal Growth
- this is a pvp talent and wont work on raid bosses. At best will be useful on trash.
Natures Focus
- The very fact that this talent has been added would suggest that it might be useful but it seems like another pvp talent to me.
Perseverance
- again, its been added, so might be useful, but in its essence looks like a pvp talent.
So given all that,
this
is how I think I will be spending all my talents.
Hey Les...
Hope life is treating you well my friend..
Totaly agree with you.. didnt know about other classes filling the spot of increasing Haste.. only read about the druid =D. lazy.. yaa i know ;)
Les btw.. add me up on ID.. so we can talk some ingame.. think you have my mail somewhere.. els give me a shout... =)
Kinda dont play that mutch eny more. But sometimes =)

Builds for the sake of min/maxing.
Balance
63/0/13
No
Improved Moonkin Form
as all Elemental Shaman will have
Elemental Oath
. If pushback resistance is needed, points can be taken from
Genesis
for
Celestial Focus
though under most circumstances receiving spell pushback in PvE is player error rather than encounter mechanics.
Fungal Growth
will have its uses in PvE as well, Shroomkins may find themselves kiting for the raid with it, the various boosts to Moonfire especially while moving, Roots, Typhoon, Brambles' daze, etc; If nothing else think of how Faction Champs would be with Fungal Growth.
Feral DPS
0/58/18
No
Leader of the Pack
as all Feral tanks will have it and a Fury Warrior is just as likely to have specced into
Rampage
. If needed, a point could be taken from
Brutal impact
to pick it up.
Feral Tank
0/55/21
No
Fury Swipes
since such a small chance on such a slow swinging auto-attack isn't all that phenomenal and if rage generation isn't drastically changed then the extra white hit's worth of rage and potential OoC procs won't be necessary. I don't feel the new
Feral Aggression
will outshine
Ferocity
under most circumstances either.
Restoration
16/0/60
Nature's Splendor
is a powerful talent and the revisions to DoT/HoT mechanics will make it even more powerful thus even more worth having while also getting
Solar Beam
along the way. Healing has never been known for generating a daunting amount of threat regularly making
2/3 Subtlety
the norm just as it is today for the purpose of descending the tree.
Fury of Stormrage
is a chance at a free Wrath which can be used during a free GCD and will certainly have a chance to proc OoC while mildly contributing to beating an enrage timer, clearing trash, tying up loose ends with a fleeing target, or helping take out an encounter specific target such as the containers on the last boss in Steamvault or at the very least totem stomping.
