I think is should be 25% for 1/2 and 50% for 2/2. And I think we discussed about that talent. It's 99% PvP talent.
yea im sure its just a tooltip mistake. idk why it would go 50% then 25%.
and yes im sure getting our rotation started will have prio over ravage spam, altho 90% isnt that short of a time window. could always mangle, rake, sr then feral charge ravage ravage ravage rip. idk could work.
and idk if you looked at that build i linked, but i have (i think) every dps talent and 5 left over points with only 1/2 pred. strikes. so we might end up having it regardless of its pve viability unless i royally messed the build up.

It is more then likely that you will have different specs for different healing role. There will probably not be a be all and end all spec for PvE.

There's no point in putting points into subtlety when there's a filler talent right next to it that allows you to take 4% less magic damage.
QFT, fill in tranquil spirit and have a spare point.

however would be my cat spec probably, still has some perusing/editing to be done...
YES i have one point each in 3 of the 2/2 talents
1/2 NI
for the simple fact that easier to heal = live longer = more dmg
1/2 PS
coupled with
IFC
= +50% crit to my charging Ravages :D (even in Cata crit should be over 50% making 2/2 un-needed.
1/2 ILotP
due to shapeshifting mana not being as needed lately and we will see how this looks once cata rolls out.

PI is bad for PvE since it only works above 90% hp, which will be over in less than a minute I think. Unless you're planning on starting the fight with Charge + Ravage spam (and maybe even Berserk).
If you're taking iLotP, take 2/2 or 0/2, not 1/2 ...
This
will be my spec if all stays as it is now. I moved points out of Brutal Impact as well, since I see it more as a PvP / Bear talent. And I don't see Primal Madness being really useful atm for kitties.

And true, primal madnes seems bit funny since energy is already our limiting factor.
Thought that haste = faster energy regen in Cata? it might be that we need that extra 10 energy to not have overfill during Berserk.
*oh and even if rank one is only 25%, i have 65 passively and raid buffed get up there pretty well, this would almost guarantee a crit...
and on some bosses that would ROCK. i mean imagine deathwhisper.... she doesnt even drop in health the first phase... so i could be ravaging the CRAP outta her shield every time i Feral Charged back up to her!

one or the other probably. Depending how big a issue the healer mana will might even consider Pred strike for those insta extra heals and insta Brez.
Hmm, that might indeed have its use, we'll see when we get there. Like you said, all depends on the DPE of Ravage. But Shredding Attacks decreases the cost by 10 already. 50 more to go xD

I assume you're not taking Primal Madness because you don't think it grants 20 energy to fill the amount by which it increases your maximum. I wrote about that in another thread, but I'll reproduce the sentiment that I doubt that's how it works.

This is nothing new, havnt got anything to do with cataclysm, but since alot of people links cataclysm-cat-dps speccs and want input, here I go (from a raid-healers point of view):
People who play dps-speccs wich got access to talents wich improves healing input (like
Nurturing Instinct
(druid) and
Spirit Bond
(hunter)) and DOESNT take it, really doesnt realise what is important (when doing new content.. who cares about running heroics overgeared, or doing "old" raids) .
Talents like that can be (and often is) the key factor if you live or die. No matter how skilled you are, everyone makes mistakes sometimes, and freak accident do happen all the time.. improving the healing you get by that much is huge.
Some people might say "but that 2 talent point can be spent to get even bigger dps". Allthough this is true, 2 talentpoint will never ever give you such and dps-boost that it outwaights that much survivability. As a dps, you are one in a team, and boosting your dps with a couple of % is not worth it if you die and leave the raid with a dps short... your damage-output while dead is ZERO
There is no encouner known to me where ive felt "healing is not a problem, super easy, if only we had 1% more dps...darn.. wipe"
