((The RP intro
explains most things, such as basic context and the political situation. I would like to thank Adamsm, who's helped me with a couple of points. :) Feel free to comment.))
The hooded Lady sat at her mahogany wooden desk, papers strewn messily across it and the elegantly tiled floor. She dipped her quill into some ink, and scribbled something onto the piece of plain parchment in front of her. The candle closest to her flickered, before fizzling out. The figure rolled her blue eyes and reignited the candle with a flick of her hand.
There was a knock at the door. The woman’s hand jerked in response and knocked her ink bottle over some papers. ‘Come in,’ She said irritably. A blushing human soldier walked in, with the insignia of Theramore on his tabard. He handed her a rolled up document, tied neatly by a purple ribbon. He stared at her for a moment, looking quite puzzled. The female frowned in response. ‘Sorry, ma’am Proudmoore…It’s just -’ He couldn’t quite articulate what he was trying to explain.
‘It’s quite alright; you are dismissed, soldier.’ Jaina replied in a slightly softer tone. ’And thank you.’ She added. The troop simply nodded, and hastily shut the door behind him - slamming it. Miss Proudmoore flinched slightly at the loud sound, and untied the ribbon. A letter with slanted writing unfolded. Her eyes traced the words. “Lady Proudmoore,
We beseech you for your aid. As you are likely aware, it has become a foremost priority of our people to find a Jarod Shadowsong, and we require assistance in this endeavour. We have sent emissaries to our former ancestral homelands to search for the missing elf. However, our resources are dwindling and we feel that it would be brash to ask another favour of the draenei.”
The writing then changed to a sharper, almost more aggressive format. “As you may fully well understand, the urgency of this cannot be ignored! It would be advantageous for all free corners of our world to find this hero of old, and would also demoralise the Empress and her scaled minions. Find my brother, and perhaps our salvation will be found with him. In addition, another ally can never hurt.”
The writing changes once again, to something more basic looking.“I feel you do not understand the true extent of Jarod Shadowsong’s information and prowess. The man is valiant and has crucial knowledge; having led the resistance all of those millenia ago. He was strong, brave and handsome and will surely be eagerly led into battle once again. My lady, read this as a desperate plea from a people struggling to survive and fight against oppression. Keep your head held high, Madame.”
The document was then signed and sealed by the members of the triumvirate. She sighed and shook her head, muttering to herself that ‘All I ever wanted to do was study.’‘If only Thrall were here, he’d know what to do…’
The guardian thought, tears forming in her eyes. She bowed her head and cleared up the now dripping black ink, hoping it would not stain.
The tired looking human sat in his home, his temporary home, he reminded himself. A dwarf servant hobbled over to the tired looking man, and asked ‘Ye Majesty - ye wantin’ a drink or sumthin’ te warm tha coggles o’ ya heart?’ Gruffly. ‘No thank you, Graz.’ King Bolvar replied, smiling at the stout, bearded creature - who nodded and scurried away.
He was well tended in Ironforge, and very grateful of the Dwarven King’s aid - but he couldn’t help but feel weak, useless and pathetic. The human’s brown eyes scanned the room with braziers illuminating it, and frowned. ‘Tirion?’ The king of Stormwind asked a very aged man, who stepped forward - still wearing his heavy, golden armour. ‘Yes?’ The elderly paladin enquired in response.
‘What would my father, or my grandfather do?’ Bolvar asked sincerely. Tirion sighed. This was quite a sensitive issue. ‘My boy, your father led your people here…’ The silver knight said rather meekly. ‘Yes, but - if he were still alive, do you think we would still be cooped into this chilled mountainside, begging to leech from the King of Ironforge any further?’ Tirion opened his mouth, ready to speak but was interrupted.
‘I doubt King Anduin, or even King Varian could have done as well as you.’ The surprisingly well-spoken dwarf’s proud voice echoed. The adventurer was still wearing his trademark hat when he walked towards the human. ‘Brann!’ King Bolvar exclaimed, grinning. He loved hearing tales about his family, his heritage. Especially about the land before it was twice shattered. ‘Sorry, I don’t have time for stories today…My brother would like to speak to you when you are available,’ The stout man nodded, before elaborating. ‘We plan to fully reclaim the Dun Murogh region; but we must plead a favour. If you are willing, that is.’
Bolvar scanned the room again, all of his advisors had the same stern look on their faces. This would be the first phase of reclaiming their homeland. ‘I would be delighted, Lord Bronzebeard.’ The King said regally.

Jarod Shadowsong ... interesting! I honestly thought he died at some point back during the War of the Ancients - but seems I was wrong (or just uninformed).Heh, he just...disappeared. However, I thought it would be relevant to bring him into the story; considering it is based around the return of the tyrannical Queen big-breast.
Yeah, caught up with the minor bits on Wowwiki. Yet another thing of Cataclysm I'm looking forward to, although it probably won't be her return, but more a build-up, as it would seem the description of her character on the "VIP"-section was an error.
Loved the starting bit and story-wise way it's going, but it did feel slightly cheesy to put in Jaina's "All I ever wanted..."-line in. It seems a bit off, especially when you have heard it. :)
xD I thought that too in hindsight, but I'm trying to weave in some direct Jaina quotes so that I can try and stay close to the character. If anybody's wondering; Jaina is technically in her late 70s or early 80s by now, but she has used her guardian magic to preserve her youth. Somewhat similar to how Aegwynn was over 800, but looked under 40.
It's good too, but try not to overdo it. For inspiration on the character, there should be quite a few good passages from Cycle of Hatred
, if I remember correctly. :)
