Hi,
I use
oUF_FreebGrid
+
Clique
For a paladin oUF_FreebGrid will display small spots in the top corners showing who has a beacon or a sacred shield and if it's yours.
To monitor my beacon and never lose it I use
BOLT
, it has a sound alert 10s before BoL expiration and you can assign your beacon to a target, just right click the icon to re-apply it on the saved target.

HealBot is great for people who don't want to mess with configuring addons too much and/or new healers.
I tried VuhDo, but it was way too much. And I don't like Grid because it requires two separate addons to do the same work as one.

Use Vuhdo, and then either use the inbuilt timer of Beacon, or use another addon.
The addon is called dotimer
http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/do-timer.aspx
It will say who the Beacon, Sacred Shield and Cooldowns accurately.. It is also extremely useful for tracking judgements. .

Coming from a resto druid, I hated Healbot, but I actually hated Vuhdo even more, which is what most druids tend to use if not using grid. Over the course of about a week I have spent about 4-5 hours configuring/researching how to configure grid, and I am done or very close to being done now., and I really like it. If you want a ss of how I have it setup lmk, but being a pally would probably have a much different preferred layout than a HoT heavy druid.

Healbot is perfectly suitable for a Paladin, I've been using it for years now. It now tracks all your SS and Beacon buffs very well and I appreciate the actual spell icon showing up on the bars as opposed to a little square or something.
I've used, Vuhdo, Grid+clique, and healbot and all of them are very well suited to Paladin healing, so it is really just a matter of personal prefernece.

I personally use pitbull + clique to heal and have found it to do wonders once I got past the 101 things I needed to toy with (but isn't that half the fun)
