I don't like my priest

And I have no idea why. I'm currently level 62 and Shadow, though I also tried healing and pvp levelling with Disc spec, but didn't like either. It just seems so slow. Compared to my warlock, it seems like I can only take on 1 mob at a time and then need to drink every few mobs.
Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is priest just boring to level, and if so, when does it get better?

You're probably doing something wrong if killing seems slow, but Priest isn't like Rogue or Warlock, where you can just prance through a zone and kill everything as you go.
Shoot for
This
spec, and Glyph of Dispersion. With Glyph of Dispersion, I guarantee that you won't have many mana problems at all, having 36% of your mana restored every minute and fifteen seconds.
Rotation on normal mobs should go like this:
VT - > MB -> MF -> MF -> MB -> MF -> MF ect, until dead. It should die at the second Mind Blast, or sooner.

Have you tried the Energizer spec?

Do you have the Boa shoulders/chest for your priest? 20%xp makes a huge difference.
Yes, I also have staff and trinket...
Thanks Erethzium, I'll give that spec a try.

Shoot for
This
spec,
I adopt a slightly different strategy when I'm levelling as Shadow: I go down as far as Dispersion for 51 points then immediately go over to Discipline to start investing for Meditation. So my spec at 62 would be
this
. Entirely up to you, though.

Okay Erethzium, I'm using the spec you posted and it's much nicer than the wacky spec I had. What other glyphs should I use? I have
this one
atm, but with the change to
Vampiric Embrace
(Which I love btw!) it seems quite useless now, for shadow levelling anyway.

How many Major Glyph slots do you have at 62? (I forgot)
If you have only one, get Dispersion glyph.
If you have two, get Dispersion and Shadow glyphs. (Glyph of Shadow)

Another option is "aoe grinding."
Get a boat load of spirit/SP gear (and at 60-70, that means gemmed gear so throw some runed cardinal rubies in it) and just VT/Pain and move on, the mobs won't die as fast but those 2 dots alone will kill them. Do a big pull, when it's done toss on a renew and maybe hit holy nova, disperse, repeat until 80.

Shadow is a bit slow pre-50 but at 62 you shouldn't have any trouble at all with multiple mobs.
Just make sure Dispersion is glyphed as people mentioned here, that will take care of your mana.
For larger pulls just put VT on every single mob, DP on the one that you think will live the longest and then either PW:P on all of them (if they have tons of HP and you got plenty of mana) or just single target (MB + MF) one after the other. Refresh VT on mobs when it dropps off.
The self-heal from VT should be more than enough to keep you alive even against 5+ mobs. Just make sure to take 2 points in
IVE
. You can basically level exactly like a Warlock, just running through packs and multi-DoTing all mobs you see while keeping yourself healed by Vampiric Embrace (like Siphon Life for Warlocks).

Must comment, i have lvled from day one as priest and loved every minute, sure it can hard initially but aftter shdaw form as long as your rotation is ok, i'd say its a doddle.
i'm 62 now and have no fear at all taking on multiple mobs, in fact i smash single targets so easily i sometiimes look to take on multiple to test myself lol
just get the rotation right and you'll be fine.
Rotation on normal mobs should go like this:
VT - > MB -> MF -> MF -> MB -> MF -> MF ect, until dead. It should die at the second Mind Blast, or sooner.
i'd probably add SW:P after the first MF that way shadow weaaving will be 5 and your dot's will hit hard.
Good luck, its well worth it, nothing better than a paladin thinking he is all high and mighty storming towards you, then you switch to shadow and frighten the life out of him. (and then destroy him)
