If I had to guess, part of the problem is that you switched to ArPen gemming too early.

Until you have about 400-500 ArPen from gear, you're better off gemming for Agility. Since you only have 445 ArPen with all those gems, you probably ought to still be gemming Agility.

You'd also be better off with at least one offset 245 piece in place of one of those 232s. Maybe even 3. (2t9 is great, 4t9 is meh.)

You're also about 70 points over hit cap, so you might want to switch hit pieces for non-hit peices. If you were to switch your set helm for the offset helm you'd have even more to drop somewhere else (and a bit of expertise to pick up as well).

The trick to do more dps is to keep your Rip and Rake uptimes as high as you can. Anything above 85% uptime is good. And Savage Roar uptime should be 95% Obviously pro kitties can do better than 85% but try aiming for that goal first. There's no real trick to up your dps, just keep those uptimes high. An uptime of 75% and 85%+ could mean the difference between 6.5 and 7.5k dps (an example).

Indeed you have gemmed for ArP too soon. Just try to get more pieces with it. Also download Rawr! and check out what your dps should be in an ideal world.

Is it really better to let SR fall off and then refresh it a second or two later, rather than clipping the SR duration by a second or two and having 100% uptime?

SR clipping is fine if you need to desynchronize it with rip.

Yes dont let SR drop even for a second. If you must, use a 1point SR if you ve *!@#ed up and all your DoTs are coming down soon. It's too damn tricky. I see the unholy dk facerolling his way to 9kdps and i work my butt off to get to 7.5 (he s obviously much better geared though) and i say DAMN YOU KITTEHH!
