Hi,
I just moved from a 4/12 guild to a 11/12. With my previous guild we never vent past Rotface. In my new guild I was told that they want me to kite the big oozes in the fight, so im trying to get ready for that. My job will be only the kiting, so I'm aiming to get the best survivability possible. In this case that means nature resistance, crit immunity and stamina. I was also thinking about taming a tallstrider for its special, but i dont think that would be so important.
So...
critt immunity--> PvP items (resi)
more stamina--> PvP items
nature resistance--> aspect of the wild,
enchant1
,
enchant2
, and
potion
i could ninja the 10 and 25 tank rings from Ony, or get some BC items with nature resist on them (Wrath items dont seem to have that much)...
I'll glyph my frost trap...
Is there anything I havent thought of? Pls help me out.
Thx in advance

Is it a case of "why bother our tank with kiting, a hunter will do alright. If he isn't a complete noob, he even won't get hit"?
Rotface needs 1 tank himself. Ask your guildies to guess what is OT is supposed to do there.
edit: Maybe they'll ask you to kite Saurfang while MT is debuffed after this, who knows :D

Thank you for the answers guys! Last night we were trying to do "Dancing with oozes", that was the reason they wanted me to kite. We could not do it. (at 2% HP the small ooze merged with the wrong big one, damn!) So all in all the nature resi was worth it, healers told me i was not that hard to keep alive. Once we're done with the achievement, i guess our pala tank will be the only one assigned to the kiting.
Thx again

Oh I thought you meant a regular kill. Good luck on next try, then :)

Damage dealt by oozes is shadowstorm so i am afraid that you wont get away with any nature resists at all. It will just use lower resistance levels for shadow damage.

You cannot slow the big ooze and slowing small ones is pointless as it lenghtens the process of merging having your raiders waste more precious time on merging.
I would use glyph of Disengage and preferably
respec BM
for easier dps on boss (without switching targets), faster
passive movement speed
and
bonus healing
. You'll also want to stay in Aspect tof Dragonhawk for increased mitigation from Survival Instincts.
Worth noticing that Bestial wrath removes the slow that you get while passing through the green goo.
With frequent usage of Distracting shot (which adds some threat) it should be breeze.
