WTF DO YOU STUDY?
I plan on majoring in computer science next fall when i head off to college, and Im wondering, what do you study? Reason being is that i want to get a heads start on stuff so I wont be overwhelmed and look like a total idiot. but really, what does a computer science major actually study?
To be more specific, I plan to go into programming, or working as a system admin, or an IT guy... details are still being compiled.

You're definitely going to want to study the basics of C++ and java. You should also prepare to be thinking like a computer... Because that's what you'll feel like after awhile.

You can find the classes and curriculum online at a lot of universities. That should give you plenty of info on what to start studying ahead of time.

if you want to prepare, and you have no experience until now, start with HTML.
then, after a while, add a script language, like javascript to buff up your HTML pages.
if you have all that, incorporate a mysql database into your website.
after you have done these things, you have a very solid preparation.
