Druids are tougher then the 9696win pallys. Atleast druids have to line up their mobs. And he never said he didn't want a challenge o.o
This is incorrect. Druids are simpler than paladins. Every tank has to line up his mobs, and actually druids need to care about lining up much less than paladins. Their AoE hits everything around, and their armor is the same when attacked from whichever side. Pallies need to keep the monsters in front of them, so their shield (and the Holy Shield ability) is of any worth.
(prot) Paladins being the easiest to play is a retarded myth which is based on no experience with the classes, stop spreading it around.
edit: Anyway, the most noob friendly DK tank build is 2H Frost.
yes because druids dodge incomming attacks from the rear the best, right?
Druids are least reliant on avoidance of all three tanking classes because they have the most effective health of all three and Savage Defense
(their gimmick block) doesn't require them to face the mobs to reduce damage. They were actually designed to have the lowest avoidance of all three tanking classes (ICC's aura will almost half the avoidance of any decently geared feral tank) due to this.
While Protection Paladins do have a simple rotation, Druids only need one button with a Swipe + Maul macro to AoE tank. In addition, Barkskin
is usable while incapacitated and they can get out of fears and unload rage on three targets with Berserk
Did I also mention that they wear melee DPS leather to tank (effectively making threat a non-issue, where for other tanking classes it's *almost* a non-issue) and they become crit immune without having to get ANY defense?
Overall, I'd have to agree with Thror that Feral Druids are the most new-player-friendly tank. I'm currently twinking one to tank all the low level content before Cataclysm changes it all. And out of all the tanking toons I've had (rolled all four to 80 and tanked heroics and some raids with them), they're the easiest to tank with for me.
