Another reason that LFD is great!

Hi,
Just thought about this after seeing some more characters in the LFD system.
One great thing is that if you're doing the 5-mans with LFD, you can stay with what spec you really enjoy. You don't have to be THE spec for Raids that other Raiders will force you to be. You can just enjoy what you like.
For example, I'm a Frost Mage and having a great time. I would be forced to be Arcane for Raids.

The difference between fire and arcane is small enough that I doubt you'd be forced arc if you were running fire. Frost is a slightly different case because it really is behind by a significant amount. I noticed a 1.5k dps drop from my fire spec to frost (Although I died our other 3 attempts, and we had no replen before, so the swap was worth it).
I also could be wrong but I believe that so long as you sign up for correct role (no ret tanks) every spec except for frost on mages is raid viable right now.
Edit: I forgot about sub rogues and BM hunters. Still 27/30 specs being viable is pretty good.

Yeah, this expansion blizzard made a pretty hard campaign for bring the player not the class/spec and usually 1-5 specs were left out in the cold for a bit but tended to come back with a vengeance. What's more this has no real application to the lfd in particular, and still doesn't even provide the benefit of min/maxing egoists that can't quite seem to let people play the game to have fun. Not that i don't like min/maxing people, but the egoists should go get themselves inspected, they take this game too far and can't stand not ruining it for everyone by demanding perfection.

Yeah, except you'll still get people who say "Nub you need to be now!"
Like someone told me I should be MM spec instead of BM spec. At level 40.

The sad thing is, all the pallys are tanking in ret specc.
I'm prot spec. :(
Besides, I'm pretty sure you can tank in ret spec until 30 or so.
My bigger issue is when feral Druids/ret Pallies try to heal... in feral/ret gear. >.<
Actually you can tank in retspec until 55 or so =D

You can tank/heal just fine in any spec up until Outland.
My druid (before I decided to go resto and just heal in dungeons all the way) healed just fine as feral. The key is to get the right gear.
