Howcome I can only put 4 skills into the pet skills hotbar?

I'm pretty sure the reason that you can't put more than 4 abilities there is because you can't put more than 4 abilities there.

You used to be able to have 5 pet abilities in the action bar, but Blizzard nerfed that in one of the WoW 1.x patches, I can't remember which one. Since then it's been 4, even though they introduced tons of new active pet abilities in the new expansions (especially after pet talents were introduced).
I believe Blizzard stated during the most recent Blizzcon - most likely in the hunter discussion panel - that they were working on that and would try to implement a fix for cataclysm. Let's hope they do...!
