Hoarding them will do no good. My advice is to gear disco first- instant queues makes badge farming much faster.

Talisman of Resurgence is a pretty decent hotfix to your mana base and intellect if you find mana to be an issue, but generally speaking, what you get first doesn't matter, you basically want to upgrade all your gear with ilvl 219+ epics asap. Happy Heroic farming.
