I healed about 2/3 of the way leveling my priest (alternating between Disc, Holy, and a Disc Holy Hybrid) and in my experience, the Disc to Meditation -> Holy builds were the best to heal with as Renew+Fheal were all I needed to keep the group up, and Meditation kept me at around 70% mana after a big pull

Is speccing into Meditation really worth it at lower levels for a Holy Priest? I find myself drinking alot in these 5 mans (Dire Maul, Strat) not seeing the benefit. No flames plz...new Priest

if you drink a lot while having meditation, imagine how much you'd be drinking if you didn't have it?

Yes. Speccing into Meditation is worth it for any and every leveling Priest. The speed of your leveling depends mostly on your ability not to OOM. Meditation helps with that. If you're drinking after every pull in instances, it might be because the tank is taking more damage than he should, or some other reason that has nothing to do with your talent spec.

Before a few patches ago, I'd say if you were healing properly you shouldn't oom regardless of whether your spec was shadow or 0/0/0.

With the nerf to OoFSR regen from spirit and the buff to meditation to compensate I'm not sure if that still holds true.

If you're having mana troubles, try to focus on healing smarter (hint:topping people of immediately isn't usually necessary just know the times that it is) and max out your meditation.

If you're still having problems consider going all in on the discipline tree and picking up the flash heal glyph.

You can also usually get a few sips in while the tank is pulling mobs and for a few seconds thereafter as he establishes aggro, but don't feel compelled to run around with full mana as it's really unnecessary.
