What dailies do you recommend?
Return to board index
While this may seem like common knowledge to you, I am not familiar with going through a list of dailies to make money or gain rep. I didn't even know what they were until i reached 80 and started noticing the blue exclamation points. This is my first character on this server and for the sake of the post I have no prior experience with WOW besides this char. I had to make a topic earlier on how to travel to northrend on the east side without walking the whole way (didn't know there was a port in Menethil Harbor that took you there)
I guess my question is where do these quest chains start and what are the best for making money. I am a little gold strapped and it is always fishy asking that question because everyone immediately hears gold and think people are looking for a cheap and easy way to do it. I am just looking for something optimal. While the lfd feature is great for making quick groups and leveling it leaves us newbs with no information on how the World of Warcraft actually works. (It also took me 15 minutes and the berating of a random group to find the entrance to The Pit of Saron after a wipe. lol.)
In short, when you log on to warcraft what do you look to do first in order to do what you do, because all I am familiar with is jumping into a queue and sitting in Stormwind waiting to be wisped away to a dungeon.

I would suggest the Argent tournament in Icecrown. I seem to remember those dailies were pretty decent as far as money goes, and the rep with the home races might not seem too exciting, the faction speicific rep can be good for a few items for fresh 80's. The Most important reason to me though, is that besides for the Son's of holdier in Storm peaks, its the greatest concentration of daily quests you can find...
i can't follow your link for some reason. you need to grind hodir rep for the shoulder enchants, so might as well start there.
if you are a JC, do that one + cooking + fishing every day.
then work on the ICC quests to stock up your gold piles.
for fun, the oracles give a chance at a green proto drake. also, the walrus people in northrend offer an epic fishing pole when you get exalted.
The link didn't work for a bit because wowhead was working on the profiler. I will do a search on ICC quests because I don't know what those are.
I am not a JC and I am not a very good cook (I think around lvl 50) or a good fisherman (around 150 or so - haven't looked in awhile). Does a person need to master those professions before the dailies for them can be done?
Not sure if it still works, but this addon will help you out. It Lists all the dailies by how much gold they give, where to pick them up, and what to do ect.
Edit: Never mind, i read some comments and it doesnt work i guess. Im sure there is another addon like that out their somewhere though. Its always good to start grinding your sons of hodir rep so you can get your shoulder inscription.
ICC quests are the argent tournament quests. you should get a breadcrumb quest on the flight platform in dal, i think.
The tournament dailies are mind numbingly boring. My favorite dailies are the pvp quests in grizzly hills. There are 7 of them in total (if i remember correctly) quest rewards including mob drops (the pvp mobs on the small island east of conq hold drops money)
they all go really fast also. about 70g in no time, with the added fun of pvp (if your on a pve server). Those, along with the daily heroic and the daily battleground, are the only ones i reccomend.

Not related to your question but get yourself the addon Carbonite. When you die it gives you a tracking arrow to your body as well as clear indicators on your map. (There might be other addons for this, but once you get used to using Carbonite you won't know how you lived without it.)
Not a problem, I am always looking for useful tools. And that was one of my hidden questions, thanks for the info!
