Arg. I'm typing this for the second time, so I'll be brief.
Switch to Vindication from Divinity, and you'll trade 5% extra heals (mainly increasing overhealing) to reducing incoming damage by 15% or often more. Refer

for more numbers. Keep some of your other talent choice like HoJ if you feel it is better, but using Divinity instead of Vidication is a lowsy trade.
As for gear, there really is no upgrade from Verigdis. The Kraken is a bigger upgrade with more stamina (and thus the best EH choice I think) because you are still rocking the 226. That being said, you could gamble by getting the belt and hoping for the set gloves from VoA. Its a tradeoff, and the Kraken has more stamina and parry instead of hit, compared to the 264 set gloves.
I guess I'd say it depends on what pair of gloves you want. If the set gloves are fine, VoA for it and buy your belt now. If you are going to want the Kraken eventually, buy it now because it is the biggest immediate upgrade.
Also, since your legs are still 226, consider the
Pillars of Might
.
