Can't really comment on the gear chocies, I don't relly cat enough for it.
But hit and expertise caps are not mandatory for kittens; they will give you a smoother rotation, but are not inherently much better then other dps stats (due to kittens being energy-based instead of GCD-capped, and 80% refund on finishers)

Well personally I would go for a passive ArP gear setup over softcap BUT ONLY IF you have access to ICC 10 and 25.
Reason for this is twofold:
1)
This is godly, get it, get it NAO
- Also the proc it givese is insanely good for kittehs. Having a 30 second boost to Agility (600 proc) which provides in the region of 900AP plus a 10% crit boost, I basically get crit capped at 73% with it or a boost to Strength which adds 1600 AP (roughly), thats right 1600 (assume fully raid buffed with kings)
2) Some of the best ArP pieces are only found in ICC 10 and 25, the tier set is *drool* and if you can get 4 piece + sanctified you are already 1/3 of the way to hardcap
Also Ive noticed you have opted for 2x2 in terms of set bonuses. Does this mean you are still waiting on the rest of the item pieces or are you staying at 2x2? If its the latter, I would be against going the hard cap route since it will gimp other stats quite heavily.

will probably scorn me for saying this BUT at this late stage in the game, I am personally convinced hit capping and expertise capping yourself is vital. My melee swings in 25man can and do crit for 4k nowadays. Having any of those miss makes me QQ and seeing dodge is just *puke*.
So, if you want my personal opinion with the gear choices you currently have, go softcap ArP, hit and expertise cap yourself and then wait for more T10 to float your way.
Look at my signature for something you will soon aim for.

The main resson to get hit/exp capped now, is to raise your crit cap :)

... seeing dodge is just *puke*.
Parry is even worse!

Anyways, GL getting deathbringer's will for your offspec, my guild has yet to see it drop and all dps are hoarding dkp for it (letting other upgrades pass them by while it goes for the offspec of our tanks!). As I understand it, the OP is bear main spec. Unless he changes his offspec to his main spec, then he MIGHT stand a chance.

You're partially correct. It is not the main reason though...
As you near the ArP hard cap, stats like Hit and expertise take on a whole new value. (It hurts your dps more to miss a 17k shred than it would a 12-13k shred). Therefore both of those stats almost become 100% mandatory.
Right, didn't think about how your direct damage combo-builders become a larger fraction of your damage compared to bleeds as you aproach ArP cap. Thanks for the correction :)
