Improving FRAPS FPS?

Soo, yeah, even after upgrading my quad-core processor from 2.3GHz to 3.0GHz, I'm not noticing a big difference in FPS while recording with FRAPS.
Specs:
8192MB 800MHz DDR2 Dual Channel Memory (4 x 2048MB Modules)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 Yorkfield 3.0GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT120 Graphics with 1GB DDR2 Total Video Memory
I record at 1920 x 1080, Windowed, with FRAPS set on "Full size". I do this to record in HD. Also, my video settings are set to "Ultra", with the exception of Shadow Quality, which is at minimum.
In 10man, I was recording Lich King attempts. While not recording, I was sitting at 60-70 FPS. While recording? 15-25 FPS...
Even lower in 25man, I sit around 45-55 FPS while not recording, and 7-15 fps while recording :x
And of course, playing with 7 fps is really hard/annoying, especially when you're used to playing at 45-55.
So, is there anything I can do to improve my recording FPS?

Try limiting the recording speed to 30 FPS. If you don't need it, don't record the sound. You can also try dropping some of your WoW stuff that drains on your system. If you don't really need the HD quality, record at half the size instead of the full size.

Recording speed is limited to 29.97 or something like that, and no, I don't record sound.
I tried recording at Half Size, the quality is crap :x
This
is what one of my recordings looks like. (Make sure you hit the 720p button.)
I take the raw video from FRAPS and put it through Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, exporting it to 1280x720. I'm going to try exporting in 1920x1080, to see if that improves the quality any.
