Low level LFD healing and tanking questions
Return to board index
I've been leveling my pally through LFD and having fun with it. I figured out that tanking at ret was more effective because I could keep better aoe threat and the mobs don't hit very hard.
I just hit 40 today and have the option of switching to prot now that holy shield is available.
Should I just stay ret until I hit 60 or should I switch over to prot for the mitigation
from holy shield and the other prot talents? My healers usually do well enough even when I pull 6-8 mobs as ret, but if any fall behind and don't start healing me...well I have to start blowing potions, lay on hands, etc to keep myself up.
Also, I am thinking about dual speccing into holy to start healing.
Is it worth it to heal as holy or can I do just as well in my ret spec after throwing on some int/SP gear
I'd prefer if you had experience in the lower levels when you answer. I've looked at other people's questions and people talk about tanking/healing 60+ where you have all your talents/spells.
What has your experience been in instances below lvl 60?
You'll be fine as ret until TBC.
You will be just fine until TBC however at 41 you can get Holy Shock. Going Dual Spec is worth it as it teaches you the finer nuances of your specs rather than the brute force method. I suggest, if you are serious about becoming an end game tank or healer at any time to DS spec, get all the extra practice in that is available and be all the better come 80.
