Pitbull - Hiding when in combat

I'm configuring pitbull4 as my healing interface, but I don't quite understand how I would do this:
I want to only show GotW and MotW when out of combat
possibly highlight the frame if the target doesn't have the buff, again only if out of combat.
Does anyone know how I would do this?
Edit: Another Question I have. How would I go about shortening peoples names to 3 characters. So instead of my default "Yggd..." or "Sava..." I would have "Ygg" and "Sav"

Also... would it be possible to ignore totems on the list of buffs, I currently have it ignoring all but my own buffs but that leaves uneeded icons when playing my shammy.

I don't think it's possible without a 3rd-party module of some sort, but you may be able to add some sort of lua text to the frame and do it that way. The people over on the
pitbull forums
will probably know better than I.
