Pure tank, but playing solo as well. I just don't like cat form that much, I die too often.

Spec is good, but glyphs are bad.
Glyph of mangle is useless, grab survival instincts instead.
Glyph og the wild ditto, unburdened rebirth atleast saves you the embarasment of not having reagent

After reading a bit I am considering taking away from primal precision and putting into KotJ. This would further boost mana reduction for shapeshifting, so when i am starting out if i dont get the furor rage, i can just reshift, plus i get 10% dmg in enrage and the even more useful effect for tigers fury when I am in cat for quick burst dmg.
Thanks for the glyph advice.

Unless you have enough expertise (24 for heroics, 40-50 for raids) on gear alone, I'd advise to keep primal preciscion. Take a look at the
KotJ
thread for some ideas.

This is the
talent
build I use for tanking, glyphs included. You don't really ever shift out of bear as a tank so there is no need for
Natural Shapeshifter
, and 4% physical damage (from
Master Shapeshifter
) is a negligable threat incrase considereing that you should easily have enough aggro if you're using a good attack rotation.
Thought
Glyph of Mangle
can be useful in fights where you need to tank two strong elites,
Glyph of Survival Instincts
tends to have alot more flexibility in its use.

That is more like what i was expecting to build, and I'm not really shifting much, and KotJ gives me a bigger mana reduction for bear/cat anyway, just not my flying, which is not a big deal. Thanks.

I removed the glyphs to see what you guys suggest if I do end up going with a different spec, but now that I am getting better gear I am enjoying cat more. Here are some other potential specs, from original from above, to more dps like as you go down.

Last two are pretty similar and leave some flex for pts in imp mangle or predatory instincts, but the last one removes feral charge, which I don't know if that is good or bad for kitties. Anyway, more help please, pretty much boils down to is the 10% armor for 3 pts very important for tanks or maybe worth sacrificing. Seems like G of Mangle might be a good choice for any of these builds too, but looking for more advice on that too. Unless I get some strong suggestions to keep the original, I am almost certainly at least ditching the 5 resto pts up to Master Shapeshifting for Shred and KotJ for when I am kitty, since they make a huge difference in play.

Glyph of Mangle is only useful in cat form if you are the mangle-bot, and even then it's questionable. (You did see it only improves duration right? Bears should use on CD anyways, and cats give up a lot of other DPS for it)
Spec 1: Cookie-cutter Master Shapeshifter
Spec 2: Standard "I go cat when my OT duties are over" spec
Spec 3: Ok at both tanking and DPS, but not very good at either.
Spec 4: Not sure what you're trying to accomplish here?
It's been a long time since you could get a viable DPS and tanking spec in the same build. Sure, option 3 will let you do both jobs, but not very good. The main issue will be that you are glyphed for the wrong job.
Personally, I'm using option 1, and will switch to 2 next week when I get 4T10.
