I play my priest because I can go in shadowform and be like "omfgimevilomg" and then I dot stuff and I mind blast it...and repeatedly mind flay it to death...and I feel good...I guess
Not really, played a priest since vanilla, I know how to play it I enjoy playing as it and no matter what spec I am I still have fun.

I enjoy the added pressure and responsibility of keeping people alive. For 5 years straight I played a Rogue and a couple of other dps classes, and it's pretty cut and dry. DPS the right mob, and stay out of the bad stuff. Playing a Priest (or any healer I suppose, this is just my first one) is more exciting because of that added element of responsibility.

I love being able to dispel pally bubbles. I love Penance. I love laughing at DKs because of Abolish Disease and Dispel. I love shields. I love Reflective Shield. I love being able to survive by myself in BGs against 5 enemy players while waiting for my teammates to arrive. Pain Suppression rocks, Power Infusion rocks, and we get a fear! Not to mention several instant cast heals that can't be interrupted and the ability to freaking Mind Control an enemy player! I also like Mind Vision because of its utility.

Leveling with two friends (warrior and hunter) as disc, and it is indeed FREAKING AWESOME :)
Disc is genious to level with, as you can heal instas NP, while at the same time it's powerful for PvP if you'd like to take a break and get som exp in BGs. We're all level 37 atm, and both me and the warr got ourselves the Ironman achi, it was pretty fun to try our best to get it :)
Gonna try out shadow at 40ish, perhaps getting a dual spec. Thing is that we started fresh on a new realm cuz we knew some people there. Being smart about AH I've got myself 1000g now, warr is at around 500 and hunter 400ish. We'll see if we're gonna lend warr some cash at 40 getting him dualspec so he can go prot in instances.

My priest just hit 30 so I got MC, can't wait until I'm a little higher level to try this out in AB.
Anyways, I too love my priest. I love being able to heal OR do damage in instances. I never thought I would like healing, but now that I've done it, my hunter is looking pretty boring right now.

As the priest was my first character, I was always intrigued by pet classes and tanks....
I now have a lvl 60 hunter that has lost all apeal, and a warrior who should be hitting 80 at the end of next week :)
Warlock is looking tempting, but i suspect that once I have to grind outland AGAIN, i will lose interest in her as well.

right before tbc came out me and friends rerolled on a completely new server. I rerolled from mage to priest. Basicly i wanted to heal (in all games i played i enjoyed healing alot) and i thought okay.. (i couldnt be shaman due to alliance, but wouldnt choose that anyways) Pala, meh plate, shield, not really my thing, always been caster. druid, meh shapeshifting and *!@#t. Priest, the most "pure" healing class of them all, hell yeah! Choise for human with an amazing 10% spiritbonus was easy, and female because i was gonna be looking at my character all day.
and well, I never ever even considered rerolling, no other class is like priest.
Actually i had a friend tell me yesterday (after lvling priestalt) "Priest are the coolest class i ever played, i regret it not being first one i lvled" (she have 9 classes in TOC+ gear @ 80 after lvling priest)
