Honestly. Blood is king for soloing. The self heals just can't be beat. With your spec, the only self heals you will get are minor ones every one in a while from your blood presence (if you even use that instead of frost)
so what would you say this is good for if anything?
build is my personal favorite for soloing.
It has superior mitigation to blood, Hungering Cold for the ultimate oh *!@# cd if you get overwhelmed and need to make a tactical or full retreat, exceptional aoe capabilities as trash will be a large portion of your combat, and Acclimation which not only helps on trash but will allow you to solo encounters such as The Prophet Skeram with much less nature resistance pieces taking up loot space.
For content where you just take too much damage blood may be more beneficial largely due to VB, WotN, and ImpDS
What have you been able to solo with this build?
I'd really like to try out a "frosttap" build simply because I love the frost tree :D
In my opinion (I gladly let someone convince me otherwise) the only viable option is blood!
This is what I'm using. The main focus is survivability! Though I didn't include Will of the Necropolis.
With the build posted above you have plenty of options to heal (or improve healing):
Rune Tap, Mark of Blood, Imp. Death Strike, Vampiric Blood, Imp. Blood Presence, Lichborne / Death Coil
It's worth noting that, for instance soloing, bloodworms should
be in your build. I enjoyed them while leveling and made the mistake of keeping them for a while. They sound good until you hit bosses that mind-control (couple examples:
). Said bosses won't mind-control if no other friendly targets, including your ghoul, are alive in the instance.
Just something to point out while you make a solo build. ;)
gracias for the suggestions
