Armor penetration is not that good for mutilate.
Stick with the mark of supremacy, because being posion capped (320ish hit) is mandatory.

Except it's not. Mark is better if you use the on-use AP every CD, albeit by a very small amount (~7-10dps).

ArP is not
useless
but just not as good as other stats ... a good portion of your DPS is your Mutilate and melee swings...

about 20% or so, the rest is from poisons.
so yea, its not useless, but, its not very useful either.

I seem to recall a time it was for me, although perhaps this was when triumph was being used to fry bigger fish and PI dropped off a easily farmable boss. I cant remember. I have always been a very practical player when it comes to passing on loot from bosses and vendors for small or short term gains.
Also I have had setups where aparently both of these are only better than mirror/coriums coaster by the same small margin.
