Vague requests in trade... anyone else find them slightly inconvenient?

I'm talking about profession & trade. I have an Enchanter, Engineer, Alchemist and a Jewelcrafter which I use to sell what I can make. Now I don't sit around in Dalaran all day trying to make an much money as I can at any cost of time, but i'm happy to cut a gem or craft something if people say what I want - that way I can guarantee what I get out of it unless someone gets in first. But when I look in trade all I see is this
lf jc
lf rogue
lf guild :D
lf enchanter
lf engineer
and I just wonder if offering is worthwhile. If people are so vague, will they even respond? Do I have what they need? Usually I don't respond unless a guildie is asking. Amazing how much more convenient it would be if everyone in trade said exactly what they wanted but I don't think that will ever happen :(

As a maxed-out JC close to having all the Wrath cuts I'll check what level they are and what zone they're in. If they're 70+ and in the same city I am then I'll either post my JC macro in trade or /w it directly to them. If they're a lower level or not in my city then I usually ignore it unless I have nothing better to do than port to IF or SW from Dal and back.

I do something very similar to "Toldu". I usually check where they are first before sending them a whisper. A lot of times if I'm just posting my JC link in trade and someone wants something from another city I just tell them to meet me in Dalaran. I don't travel anymore unless they need a lot of work and they're willing to tip me well.

If they're in the same city, I may whisper them my skill, and if they go "You don't have ____..."
I say "Well try mentioning that up front!"
Five minutes later:
Trade: Ipwnzoru "LF tradeskill with PST"
Better.

I hate vague request. I always send them a tell with some sarcastic answer to show how their request are too vague.

Why browse ingame off random people when you can browse on wowhead?

If I vaguely request something its usually because I just want to browse, not looking for anything specific
Most people who make vague requests are actually looking for something specific - if you want to windowshop so to speak, you can just say "LF 450 LW, want to browse"

"LF skilled JC to do something with
"
What the heck is that supposed to mean?

It's about the same as the person saying "can you help me?" In some cases, yes, I can. In others, no, I won't do your quest for you or give you gold.
I put one player on ignore just because he wouldn't stop asking for help with his quest. And even though I asked which quest he wanted help with, he never did say. But kept asking. And asking. And... arg. I think his total explanation was "I have to kill this one guy." Which of course could have meant just about any quest.
With the Love is in the Air event going on, I've also seen a lot of "looking for mage to port me" requests. My level 45 (or 46 now, I forget) mage can port to most capital cities -- except Darnassus, and certainly not to Shattrath or Dalaran. Knowing where you need to go would mean that neither of us would have to waste time. "LF port to Darnassus" shouldn't be too hard to ask, should it?
But really, the absolute worst is when someone has a vague request, then doesn't respond when I ask for detail. Them: "LF mage" Me: "I'm a mage, what do you need?" ...silence... At least have the courtesy to respond with "got someone, thanks" or "Need a port to Dalaran, but I can tell you're not able to do that" or whatever.
