Nope use aimed shot. It is more mana effecient, and does more damage as SV because of

, which doesnt help multi
Edit: only BM can use multi, and even then, some perfer aimed for various reasons

Also aimed is an instant cast, that can be shot while moving (so, when knocked back, or on the run), whereas multi you need to stand still for. it isnt a huge deal, but it is worth mentioning.

Situational: Single mob and multi is a huge waste of mana. But against 3 mobs and running 55% crit there is no argument that multi is the correct shot.

really opinion based, so there is no right or wrong answer here
Not really. It's easy to check the base damage + scaling of an ability. On a single-target fight Aimed will do more damage than Multi. There is a small base difference, plus MM and SV both have talents which buff Aimed.
Multi will do more damage if there are mobs to hit unless they are resistant to AoE.
i dont even spec into aimed shot for pve, i find it useless.
You're either exaggerating or wrong. Aimed Shot is useful in any single-target boss fight, and it is especially useful on Faction Champions for the healing debuff.
You also talk about taking Improved Stings instead of Aimed Shot? How are you going to get the 15 points in MM necessary to reach Imp Stings without taking Aimed Shot?
The 14 core talent points are a given, but the 15th point would have to be one of the following: Go for the Throat (pets are usually focus capped by SV crit rates even at lower gear levels), Improved Hunters Mark (a whopping 50 AP, and probably covered by MM hunter), or Aimed Shot.
