Request: Holy Pally Bar

I just dual specced my pally, and I was going to try Holy for a change.
I have read the stickies, but I wanted to know how *you* have your bars set up for Holy. What abilities you have on your main bar, maybe the macros you are using.
I know that the first couple of runs are going to take some getting use to, but I dont want the team to fail because I am being a noob. Having the bar setup should help...
Thanks in advance!

You can keep your bars really clean if you set up Opie rings for most things. I have a trinkets (including AW) ring, an auras ring, and a couple rings set up with various hand spells, miscellaneous, and shields, RF, and taunts in case a tank dies. If you REALLY get into Opie you could pretty much end up with about 8 buttons actually on action bars, though that might be taking it to the extreme.

If you use one of the Healing mods (Grid+Clique, Healbot, or Vuhdo) you can take a large ammount of buttons off of your bars. It will let you bind heals to your mouse buttons and even with just a 3 button mouse if you use shift and Ctrl modifiers that gives you 9 spells you can cast... I actually have my offensive spells on my main hotbar mostly out of habit from soloing before dual specs. I have a few cool downs on the F1-F5 keys and the rest of my cool downs I use my extra keyboard buttons on my G-11 keyboard. If I didn't have that I would have a lot more abilities macro'd with modifers so that I still didn't need to have to much clutter.
Basically though the healing mods do wonders. You don't need them to get the same effect but you'd need to do a lot of macro work to do the mouse overs with modifiers adn then deal witht he limitations of your party/raid frames to show you the relevant information.

Yeah I find if I use alt or any combination of modifiers, I get my fingers all off synch and i end up hitting the windows key or hittng capslock instead of shift or something silly. So i try to limit how many modifiers I have to push... that's obviously a personal limitation and some people may not have that issue at all.
On that not I also super glued tiny little beads to a couple of key buttons on my keyboard to home my fingers on the number buttons better so I'm not hitting "4" thinking its "3"... it works really well... in fact almost too well. I find if I'm on a differnet keyboard, my fingers get kind of disoriented.

I use Clique to bind all my heal spells to my mouse, I didn't start using that until I started healing raids though.
I have shift and ctrl, I had alt set for a couple buttons, but always got messed up (hitting windows key, hitting ctrl instead). I personally avoid multi key combos, but for some people it may work well.
@beatphreek - marking the keay like that is a good idea, I get off one key to the left sometimes & can figure out why I won't run, or hit the wrong ability on my bar.
I only have 1 real action bar up 24/7 it has things like AM, DP, AW, HW, HoS, etc. I have a hidden bar for things like revive, DI (death one), bubble, Turn Evil, I also use autobar to manage popup menus for pots, buffs, food, etc, those are also hidden for the most part.

I'm not sure why you would get Alt mixed up with anything. Just use your thumb since it's right next to the space bar.
That's because I've been doing it wrong... I've been using my (also retarded) pinky to try to hit the left alt button... the thumb makes much, much more sense...
I might actually be able to use the alt button modifiers now. Although in my old age the further away from my core skills I get with modifiers the less likely I am to remember that ctrl-right click is Salvation and alt right click is DI... then the fun begins....

Shift+G - Judgement macro (/cast Judgement of Wisdom)
G - Self-cleanse macro (/cast Cleanse)
Shift+R - Blessing of Freedom
Shift+2 - Divine Plea
Shift+3 - Divine Illumination
Shift+F - Arcane Torrent
Shift+V - Avenging Wrath
F - Divine Favor

Shift+C - Sacred Shield
Y - Divine Shield
T - Aura Mastery
V - Talisman of Resurgence

Everything else I have to click. Which... is nothing during combat (except silly things like Exorcism or Holy Wrath).

Wow, I never use a bar in raid other than to use Judgment, Divine Illum, blood elf mp5 leetness, or some CD/potion etc.
Get healbot and don't look back, seriously.

Thanks everyone, this has given me some insight.
I was planning on getting Healbot, but didnt realize that you could bind multiple actions to a click.
Probably tonight I will be trying my first run as Healer in WoW. I had a Cleric and Shaman in DAoC, so hopefully I will not be tooo rusty.
Thanks again!

Pop that thing out of your keyboard. Honestly, I don't even know why they're there, who needs a key to open the start menu. But at the very least you can take out the left one and leave the right one if you really feel the need to have a key for your start menu.
Or if you don't feel like mutilating (though it's reversible) your keyboard, check to see if you can just disable it with your drivers or download a program that'll do the same thing.
To answer the original question I have the following things mapped with Clique:
Alt Left Click - Flash of Light
Alt Right Click - Holy Light
Shift Left Click - Holy Shock
Alt Shift Left Click - Beacon of Light
Alt Shift Right Click - Sacred Shield
Control Left Click - Cleanse
Then my bar looks like (from left to right):
Holy Wrath (for stunning undead)
Judgement of Light
Judgement of Wisdom
Aura Mastery
Divine Illumination
Divine Favor
Hand of Salvation
Hand of Protection
Lay on Hands
Hammer of Wrath (for throwing in heroics)
Hammer of Justice
Divine Plea macro (with trinkets and Avenging Wrath)

Hey, also, watch this video as you set up Healbot for the first time to avoid frustration + be good at it and not develop bad habits.
