Feral is always more involved than boomchicken, always. Boomchicken is fun enough, but it has less buttons and requires less situational awareness than feral at every point in the game, with being forced to drink after every kill or every other kill on top of that. If this isn't your first toon you're probably forgetting how small low level repetoires are, if you aren't playing an alt all i can say is, it gets more complex as you level with every class and feral tends to be the most difficult at most stages of the game while being outdone by a few of the more..... bloated... caster classes overtaking it a few times in the level 30-50 range.
