I currently play on Dialup (NetZero Highspeed....Yea I know highspeed dialup lol). My question is beings I cannot get highspeed (dsl, cable). Would it be worth my time, and money to get Satelite? I currently have been getting random disconnects, (blizzard links my dialup to the disconnects, even tho I was fine prior to 3.3). My 'thoughts' (im no expert) are that dialup will still be better than satelite because its direct hookup, no dropped signals. However I know that those satelites are pretty heavy and not as likely to blow around. Another concern is the bouncing of signals with satelite...will this be a big issue? If someone could give me the pros and cons to both over eachother (I already know highspeed is better..its not available here or i would get it...) Thank you all very much for any suggestions you all might have.
I can currently do heroics and warsong just fine, i cant do anything higher than warsong, and i can't raid with dialup.....would I be able too with satelite?

Sat can be ok, BUT you might have a tremendous amount of lag. Especially when its cloudy.
If you have 3G cellular service in your area, you might be able to get an AirCard from your cellular company that provides broadband service.

To be honest im not sure aout the cellular service. I actually didnt know that was possible until i started to do some research with google and what not. Im going to check on that tomorrow, however from some of the threads ive found online (nearly 2 years old mind you). Most of the people are saying they are having 800-1k latency with dialup. I have 400-500ms...Im guessing thats pretty good. However those people are able to get into raids without getting bounced...just really laggy. I can't do raids, I tried a 10man once on dialup thinking it would be fine beings i can do warsong....boy was I wrong. I've always just thought this to be because of my net...am I wrong? I have my settings all set to low and i have an nvides gforce 7800 gt, I thought that was fine. Anywho some of the other people were talking about those AirCards and they didnt seem to be too happy with them either....really whats the difference in the card or the satellite? Other than the distance they are both still subject to weather and having to take longer times to ping correct? Thank you very much for any and all advice!
