How do you use Saronite Bombs to increase DPS?

All the news about Ensidia getting banned, because their rogues' use of saronite bombs in their rotations, bugged the Lich King encounter has really piqued my interest.
No, not Ensidia. I could care less.
What I want to know more about are these saronite bombs! I have a DK with engineering. I have never considered saronite bombs so be useful outside of PvP. How exactly are these rogues using them to increase their DPS? Is there any way I can apply that to my DK or is it a rogue only thing?

They said 30-90 DPS increase (flat)

I'm almost sure it's a dps increase for any class if you can use it quick enough...hmm.

They are instant and off the GCD, so they don't interrupt your rotation and are therefore "free" DPS. However, they are on a 1 minute CD and they do only a couple thousand damage. Honestly I don't know why anyone would bother. 30 DPS increase is within the bounds of RNG error, hardly a noticeable difference. On the Ensidia screenshots of their WoL, it was like 0.5% of the rogue's overall damage.

Ensidia's rogue does his dps exactly because he is trying to get every possible little dps increase, even when it is only 30dps. That's the difference between guilds who compete for World first kills and those who clear content later.
I guess my point is, if you come here posting "How can I use Saronite Bombs to increase my DPS!" my answer would be "Don't bother until you have everything else buttoned down."
For all but 0.01% of the population, I wouldn't even bother. I'm putting it into perspective that this is like a 25 DPS increase, assuming you use it on CD and don't somehow blow your rotation because you are clicking around with a targeting circle.
Just saying that unless you perform everything else at 100% your best every time, don't go looking to Saronite Bombs to be the savior of your DPS.

Ermm, only 0.01% of the population can maintain a rotation and throw a click on the screen?
I must be very special then...

It is only a dps increase for classes that use instant spells for dps (so Arcane Mages would not get an increase since smart ones do not use instants, but Fire/Frost Mages do use instants).

I didn't say that only 0.01% of the population can manage to put Saronite Bombs into their rotation. I'm saying that they shouldn't bother. Comments like this "(otherwise I am in that 0.01%, and I'm in a very average raiding guild)." If you are in a very average raiding guild, it's probably not worth it. Are you having trouble with your raid content? When a 25 man raid is pulling 150,000 DPS, is your 0.017% increase in raid DPS really going to make any difference what so ever? Is every member of your raid flasked for every pull, and pre-potting speed/wildmagic/ironshield potions every pull? (ib4 YES THEY ARE!)
That's what I meant by people "shouldn't bother."
Yes it is a DPS increase. I'll say it again just so there's no confusion. On a "just between you and me, as common run of the mill players not pushing hardmode content in top 100 in the world guilds" I say don't worry about it.

Fair enough, then. (And yes, we are flasking for our raid nights...though I don't think anyone in my guild is dedicated enough to
burn through pots that quickly
. :P )
Eh, it's not too bad, especially if you have a guild Potion Spec'd alchemist to make them for you. You can only use one potion per boss attempt anyways.

Do healers pre-pot?
Do healers pot at all other than in emergencies?
Do tanks go through a second potion other than for emergencies?
Flasks are about 5-10x the price of a potion which is roughly the price of potions for 4 boss attempts.
That's also expensive!

Keep in mind the 20-30 dps increase (on single target) should also outweigh whatever dps gains you would get from the other professions. I mean, not all of their dps (melee or otherwise) in their guild use bombs.
Either way, that's not the reason they're a top guild.
